Keeping the old dryer running
I'm grateful for a father-in-law with experience in appliance repair. He was able to help me diagnose that the dryer not heating was due to a bad thermostat and the fact that the timer being bad likely caused the thermostat to go out. Both parts were relatively easy to swap out - the only real challenge was keeping the wires in the correct places on the timer.
The dryer has been working great again since the replacement parts were installed.

Easy Repair - 15 mins.
Fit right in place. I transferred the wires before removing the old part. Made it easier to get it right, I think.

Does this part control the heat? The dryer runs but has no heat.. I've replaced everything but this. Any sugestions
For model number 11072702100
Hello Roger, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, the timer contacts control the dryer motor as well as the heating circuit. A defect in the timer’s electrical contacts can cause the dryer to stop producing heat. We would recommend checking the timer, part number PS11742168, to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
