Does this part control the temperature of the fridge and freezer ?
For model number Rf28hmedbsr
Hi Alfredo, this is the control board, it does monitor the temperature sensors and adjusts the fridges temperature. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

Evaporator freezes up. Evaporator fan was making a crazy noise. Replaced it. Still freezes up. Guess it was the blades hitting the ice. Will freeze back up after about 3-4 days after I thaw it out.
Could it be the a control board, defrost thermostat, etc…?
For model number Rf28hmedbsr/aa
Hello Michael, thank you for your question. With use, the condenser fan blade or the evaporator fan blade can become damaged or dislodged and begin scraping against a panel or mounting bracket There can be a noise is caused by ice buildup around the fan. You can perform the defrost process manually to get rid of the ice buildup with the Defrost Heater PS4140711. Or, the Defrost Thermostat PS4140510 is malfunctioning causing this freezing issue. Both the Defrost Heater and Thermostat are located towards the bottom of the evaporator coils. Good luck with your repair.
