We have a two year old dishwasher that has stopped working. It fills with water and sounds as though it is trying to start, but it is not circulating the water. The cycle will run all the way through if you let it, but obviously nothing gets clean?

Hi Bill,
Thank you for your question. If the dishwasher will not start, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. Here is a link from our website that you may reference on what parts to check, https://www.partselect.com/AdvancedModelSymptoms.aspx?ModelNum=KDTM404ESS2&mfgModelNum=&fkMfgID=3&ModelMasterID=861839&PID=40. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My two year old dishwasher runs through a cycle (fills with water and drains), but does not wash the dishes. I have replaced the turbidity sensor but still nothing. I am assuming at this point it must be the circulating pump that has failed?

I have a leak underneath the dishwasher; it appears to be coming from the diverter motor area. I have tried to replace the diverter grommet but am unsure if I am locating the correct size as it is still leaking (kitchen aid says the grommet is not available/solod separately). Should I go ahead a replace the divertor motor? Also does this pump and motor assembly come with a diverter motor and grommet in the sump if I decide to just replace all of this? Thank you!

Hi Ashley, thank you for your inquiry. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend replacing the diverter motor, part number PS11730993, to fix the issue. The diverter motor is sold separately, you may not need to order the pump and motor assembly. We hope that helps!
