I bought a GE refrigerator and a extended warranty form the department store. I had a problem with the ice maker not working properly. A technician came from Port Jervis, NY and told us we needed a new Fan Gasket Assembly, which he had to order. After many weeks of waiting for the part, I was told that it was on "Back Order" from GE and they didn't know when they were going to receive the part. I could not get this part anywhere, not even directly from GE, because it was on backorder until October.
