Today the range started beeping and flashing an error message: F7 or fc. Pressing cancel stops it, but only for a few seconds. Any possibilities other than replacing the panel?
For model number sve476000

Hi Don,
Thank you for the question, F7 is a shorted key error. It can be caused by the keypad or the control board.
I would start by making sure the electrical ribbon going from the panel to the board is not damaged and plugged in all the way. Also use a Q-tip to clean the connectors. In most cases if this didn't fix the issue the panel will need to be replaced.
Hope this helps!

How to take top off to get to control board
For model number Sve47600w

Hi Ramona, Thank you for the question. First remove the 4 Phillip head screws that hold the control panel trim to the bottom of the Control Panel With Touch Pad.Next removed the knobs.Removed the 4 Phillip head screws that are located behind the knobs.Removed the 4 hex head screws from the bottom of the Control Panel. Then remove the panel a few inches and remove the two cable connectors. Squeeze the two small tabs on the connector and carefully remove the ribbon cable. The Control Board has just two hex head screws holding it in place. Remove them and reverse steps to reassemble. Hope this helps!

My oven broiler won't turn off - must unplug unit. When i plug unit back in, the broiler automatically turns on. So can't use unit. What part is defective? Thank you
For model number SVE47600B

Hi Dave,
Thank you for your inquiry. It sounds like either the long oven sensor or the electronic control board is causing the issue. I would check both with a multimeter to see which one is causing the issue. I hope this helps the repair. Thank you and have a great day!

For model number SVE47600B

Hi Don,
Thank you for your question. If the bake element and the sensor are checking out fine, then you will need to the check the wiring that is connected to the parts as well as the electronic control board. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My stove works fine except the oven fan blows constantly after it heats up. This never happened previously. It used to come on only when using the broiler. Is this a thermostat problem or a problem with the electronic control board? What part do i need?
For model number SVE47600B

Hello Don, thank you for inquiring. For this symptom you will want to consider either the Electronic Clock Control Board part PS11743858 or the High Limit Thermostat part PS11744498. We hope this helps.

The clock and oven temperature read-out can only be faintly read when there is absolutely no light in the room. Also, the fan does not work, unless it automatically goes on with a high baking temperature. What part(s) am I looking for?

Many misc. electrical issues
After removing the protective panel from the back, I used one of those screw holes to hold the new mother board right next to the existing one. I unplugged one connection & and plugged in to the new board. A couple of the wires didn't reach, but I committed those to memory. It looks a lot more intimadating than it is. It looks like a bunch of spaghetti, but its easier than it looks and it saved me at least $750

My oven would either turn off or on by itself
I deduced that it had to be a major computer part and when I e-mail parts select, they concurred. I got the part and had my repair guys come install it. It did not work when he finished after three hours. after another mother board was sent a friend carefully installed it with me recording the lineup of the wires and calling them out to him. when he took the other board off he found a bad port, that did not fit well. it is now working beautifully and I got to bake all my cookies and bars for the holidays! Thank you Parts select for you help and your forum! couldn't have done it without you!

Oven wouldn't heat in any mode
Turn breaker off and start replaceing wires one at a time until you have the new part wired. Then secure new part and turn the breaker back on and it'll work. It's just that simple.

Oven would not heat
I cut off the electricity. Removed the back panel. Moved 1 wire at a time from old board to new board. Then removed the old board and replaced the new one. Reattached the back panel and turned on the electricity. I was happy when the oven began to heat.

Tomato Soup
There are days when the distraction levels are higher than others; lets say you leave tomato soup on High, it boils over and runs down the sides and back of your stove. When it makes contact with ANY electrical part it DOES short out, the electrical connection can actually catch on fire. To top it all off It becomes a thick paste that is only removed by scraping and scrubbing. Double check to make sure it is out of the electrical connection block before plugging the unit back in or it'll short out again, possibly starting yet another fire. This control board has one screw and a couple wires, remove the old toasted board, install the new one and pull and move one wire at a time from the old to the new board.
