Hello i just have to replace the auger cable can i do myself is there alot to take apart to get at it ,what would i need to take off ?Thanks.
Hello Daniel, Thank you for your inquiry. We have found the following instructions for you, but you can also check YouTube videos for assistance.
1.Removed cover over the belts.
2. Removed spring from auger clutch.
3. Both pulleys had to be removed to snake the cable through.
4. After cable was through, then I attached the spring to the clutch.
5. Attach the cable to the handle.
6. Then finally reattach the pulleys. It is a lot easier to attach the pulleys last.
7. Then put the cover back on.
another set
1. Took the plastic housing off the auger assembly.
2. Removed the bolts from the the two pulleys.
3. Removed the old cable.
4. Fed the new cable into the two pulleys, and tightened down.
5. Put the spring end of the cable into the auger assembly, and the other end into the handle.
6. Put the two pulleys back and tightened.
one other customer mentioned that they had to remove the belt cover and both cable pulleys.
Hope this helps!
