This 3/8 Hex Top Lock Nut, also known simply as a lock nut, attaches to the bolt and secures the tines to the tine hub of your tiller, mower, or snow thrower. This is a genuine OEM part, is gold in color and made of metal. If you notice your tine has moved out of place or fallen off, the lock nut may have damaged threads or rounded of ends due to fatigue and wear, and will need to be replaced.
