lights wouldn't work
Two years ago (approximately) the lights quit working. I replace the bulbs with ones from the local hardware store; didn't work; replaced fuses; didn't work; replaced circuit board, didn't work; finally, ordered expensive recommended part and replaced fuses purchased at local dealer, WORKS! The bulbs I purchased locally were 50watt not 20. I had 2 different repairmen (one GE rep) look at it,and neither one solved the problem. But it's fixed now!

Light Socket Not Working
Removed unit by removing two mounting screws attaching socket to range hood. Removed adjacent filter panel, pulled socket out through opening, and removed two screws attaching ceramic insulation base to socket. Reinstalled in reverse order.
