When i placed the oven on bake it will not reach the desire setting. According to the usher instructions the oven should preheat to 350 f (175 c) in approximately 10 - 15 minutes. At 22 plus minutes my oven had only reached 295 degrees. My question to is: I only have one element in my oven, is the broil and bake element an all in one item? The broil works fine.

Hi Terry, Thank you for your question. If the oven is not heating to the desired temperature, the issue is the temperature sensor. The sensor monitors the oven temperature and signals the electronic control board to turn the elements on and off. You will need to test it with a multimeter for continuity. Before removing and testing the sensor, unplug the oven from the electrical outlet. The temperature sensor is frequently found inside the oven, attached to the rear wall near the top. Once you have located it, remove it from the oven. In order to test it, you will need to reference your owner’s manual to determine the correct reading for your model, as this varies from model to model. To test for continuity, set the multimeter to the Rx1 setting and touch the terminals with the probes. This test needs to be done with the sensor at room temperature to produce accurate results. If your test results do not meet the manufacturer’s guidelines, you need a replacement temperature sensor. If the sensor is fine, you will need to check the electronic control board, the elements and the wiring between the parts to see which one is causing the issue. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

Oven slow to heat and don't get hot enough
For model number WFE540H0ES1

Hello Vince, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Oven Sensor, PartSelect Number PS11726314. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. We hope this helps.

Hi, if I set the oven temperature to 350 degrees the oven will preheat to that temp but once it gets there the temp starts to descend. What do you think could be wrong? Thank you so much for your time.

The front left burner goes on high heat when turned on any amount—even on low. What would you recommend? Replacing the burner? Or could it be something else? Thank you!

Hello Sarah, thank you for getting in touch. Based on our research, the issue is with the left front infinite switch, part number PS11731368. It turns the surface element on/off and controls the heat of the element. We would suggest replacing the left front infinite switch to fix the issue. Glad to be of assistance!

mice had made nests in the insulation wrap in the range
I numbered every part. ex: 1 L., for first part removed left side. I used a magic marker to circle the holes and wrote the number of screws used on the part, set the srews in a separete place, so that I new where these screws went to. The cleanup was pretty time consuming, but I was able to keep my stove, when every repairman I called to fix my stove told me I was better off buying a new stove. ($600.00 stove 2 years old)Please Note: The insulation blanket needed for the entire stove is two pieces, the sides and top are one part # and the bottom and back, are another part #. I did not know this. I just purchased the top and sides. I got lucky, the back and bottom were still in good shape. So I guess I should have read the description of the part more carefully to see what it covers, before I ordered it. It took two people two hours to do the work, it was really nice to have an extra set of eyes, to remember what direction pieces of metal from the stove went. I would do it all over in a heart beat instead of buying a new stove.
