Oven does not heat up.
[I did this repair with the oven door installed, but I can see value in removing the door if you have instructions on how to remove and reinstall the door.] 1) Remove power to the oven at the fuse-box or circuit breaker panel 2) Remove the 2-cover screws (original) which secure the cover plate for the old bake-element at bottom-center of oven back wall. 3) Pull old bake-element towards the door 2-3 inches to expose the oven wiring connections for the element. 4) Secure the wires so they do not retract back into the oven insulation. 5) Remove the 2-terminal screws(original) which secure the wiring to the old bake-element. Remove the old bake-element. 6) Position the new bake element for oven wiring attachment. [Note: Use the new terminal screws which is shipped with the new element] 7) Secure the oven wiring to the new bake-element with the 2-terminal screws (new). 8) Position the element into the back of the oven and align the cover plate with the mounting holes. 9) Install the 2-cover plate screws (original). Ensure that the element support legs (door end of the element)to ensure both are contacting the oven floor while tighten the cover screws. 10) Restore power to the oven at the fuse-box or circuit breaker panel. 11) Turn on the oven to test the new element's function.

Element grounded out on aluminum foil put down to catch drips, the element burned apart, had a break.
Unplug unit, Removed cover on rear of range, disconnected wires to lower element, removed 2 mounting screws inside oven, pulled old element out. New element did not have the same connection for wires. The new one was screw on the old one was pusf on. I drilled holes in the connectors and screwed on the connectors, holes inside didn't line up, so I drilled one hole and self taped one screw in to hold the element against the rear of oven.

Baking Element not working
Knowing very little about oven repair or any appliance repair i called the parent company and found out it could be as much as $95 just to have a technician come to the house. With that said i took it upon myself to give it a shot to do a little research found this parts web site the baking element replacement and found it very easy to take the old one out. Just two screws to take off the metal plate where the element fits into. Then pull the element out slightly so that i could unscrew two more screws. When i went on line and found Partselect.com and found the part i needed after measuring the old element, i called the 800 number just to be sure i had the right one. The individual was very helpful because i had selected the wrong part. I ordered the part at about 3pm on day one and the very next morning the part was at my door. Install was amazingly easy and I typically have issues with maintenance repairs. I'm the original "Tim the tool man", so normally takes me longer than it should. But I will tell you 15 minutes to replace the element included pulling the oven out cleaning the area and pushing it back into the space i took it out of. All I can say is Man that was easy! Just 4 screws to mess with on my GE Oven Range.

Baking element in oven burnt out (literally!)
I watched a youtube video about the repair. Unscrewed the two screws holding element in place and pulled element forward being careful not to damage wires. Unhooked connections from old element, reconnected wires to new element , carefully pushed unit back into place and reinstalled screws. Very easy and instant gratification....yay...girl-power!

Broken heating element
I used the drill simply to be able to reach, but it isn't necessary. Unscrew, pull out gently, unscrew old, attach and screw in new, push in, and screw in - done. Really. It is that easy. Save $1000 for 15 minutes of minimal effort.

burnt out oven element
Examined replacement part for correctness and necessary screws. Turned off power via circuit breaker. Loosened two screws holding the element. Pulled it out; removed the screws making contact with power lines. Cleaned all contacts and area around mounting hole. Installed the new element with new screws. Put the face plate back into the mounting hole. turned on the power via the circuit breaker. It worked fine. Thank you. Adele Ward, Atlanta, GA

Bake Element Went Out
Turned off breaker. Removed old elements (replaced both while in there). Taped wires to oven wall so they could not get pulled behind insulation. Installed new elements with nut driver & screwdriver (old elements required nut driver, new ones had screws). Turned on breaker. Done. . . So simple! Note: new element description said it has push-on type connections, but they are actually screw type, which was what I needed.

baker element broke after 27 years
Threw circut breaker, unpluged the 210, removed oven door, removed all racks, socket removed outer panel, pulled out old bake element, socket set took off positive and negative, put on new set (took a screw driver instead of a socket set) replaced everything, pluged in 210 and threw back the breaker. works great

The lower baking element was burned out and not heating
I simply removed two screws that were holding the bake element bracket onto the oven wall. Pulled the bake element away from the wall about 2 inches and then removed the two screws that were connecting the electric cables. Reverse the process when installing the new bake element. *Tip - Removing the door will make access easier but it is not required. Just make sure you have adequate lighting so that you can see the holes.

Bottom Element not working
First I would like to say I got this part very quickly. After getting the product I rechecked online how to change the old element. Got out a couple of tools and went to work. At first it was difficult to remove it only because it was the original and it was tight. Used a little liquid wrench and out came the screws. I hooked up the new element turned on the stove and I had our oven back working. Would definitely recommend anyone to use partselect.com Thanks for a great repair experience!
