Door handle broke off
First I removed the top screws, then I slide it off the lower screw that is hidden behind the handle. I replaced the handle by sliding it onto the bottem first then attaching it onto the top with the two top screws.
This was the second part I tried. The defrost timer was first, but that did not fix it. To do this I had to remove the ice maker and the back plate of the freezer. Then I defrosted the coil and cut the wires. stripped them back and installed the new thermostat. re-assembled and tested. has been working great ever since.
When cleaning the coils on your refrigerator always remember rule number 1, unplug it first. I was cleaning the coils and hit the fan blade while it was moving with a brush, thus breaking off one of the fan blades. I ordered a new fan and installed it in about 15 minutes. Very easy repair.
The Crisper Drawer Glass Shelf slid out of the frame while being cleaned and shattered.
The repair didn't require any tools at all. Just simply slide the new glass shelf carefully into the the frame and while holding it horizontally slide the frame back into the rails. This took less than a minute to accomplish. Very satisfied with the results.
I pulled the refridgerator door open and the handle snapped off.
This repair was very easy and took less than five minutes. I used the same screws that were on the fridge to put the handle in place. All I needed was a screwdriver. I would also like to add that when I ordered this part it was shipped the same exact day and I received it the next day. It was incredibly fast and I will use them again in the future. I recommend this company to those who need to replace or repair a part. Thanks PartSelect!
Brand new refrigerator, but evaporator fan blade broken, causing considerable vibration and noise.
Really, really, really easy: 1.Unplug refrigerator (electrical safety). 2.Remove cardboard cover at bottom of refrigerator (two short self-tapping bolts) with a wrench. 3.Pull old fan blade off fan motor shaft (just held on by a compression fitting--no tools needed). 4.Push new fan blade on shaft. 5. Replace cardboard cover. 6. Plug in refrigerator, write nasty letter to Frigidaire.
Unscrewed the old screws and removed broken piece of handle. Put new screws in for handle to latch in. Swung handle in place and put the 2 special screws in top of handle. Job done. With the correct parts from Parts Select The replacement was a breeze. Thanks for your speedy delivery and support. I will definitely continue to get all my various appliance parts from you
Don't ever tell your 11 year old to clean the refridgerator. Something will almost definetly get broken like the glass shelf, but luckily I had parts select which in no time assisted me to find the exact part. I ordered the part, it came quickly and I replaced within seconds. Thanks.
- Unsnapped old light socket from top of Frig - Disconnected elect wires - Reconnected elect wires to new light socket - Snapped new socket in place - Done in less than 2 min.
It was fairly easy. Only had to remove the back cardboard. Remove 3 screws and the power plug. Replacing the screws took a little time the motor mount didn't seem to be tapped exactly for the screws supplied and it was in a tight area. Its working great now.
Pull refrigerator away from wall, being careful not to kink or break water line to ice maker, unplug refrigerator. Using 1/4" nutdriver, remove cardboard lower rear panel, bottom lifts out. Fan and motor are now directly in front of you, grasp the moter to stablize it, and using your other hand, pull fan hub from motor shaft. Be sure motor shaft is clean before reinstalling new fan blade, press new bladr onto motor shaft, until center of blade is centered on outlet side of fan housing. spin blade by hand to insure clearance. Plug refrigerator in and observe operation of fan, refrigerator needs to be calling for cooling for this fan to operate. Reinstall cardboard panel and move refrigerator back into position.
