Microwave has no power. Outlet has power. No tripped circuit breaker. Digital clock is not on. Buttons don't respond when pressed. Acts like it has no power at all.

Hello Ken and thank you for writing.
It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty thermostat PS4226431and/or a faulty high limit thermostat PS4226453, you should check for signs of damage, and replace if necessary. You should also check the door microswitch PS4131192 and do inspect the actual power cord just to make sure nothing is broken. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

I tested all these high-voltage components with a low-voltage multi meter, and they all checked out OK (after replacing the diode). However the microwave still did not heat food.
When working on a microwave it is important to unplug it and also discharge the high voltage capacitor. The capacitor has a 10 megaohm resister to automatically discharge itself, but it may have failed – – so discharge it manually.
