ice dispenser keeps turning on every 10 minutes automatically . I locked the control panel to prevent water from being dispensed

Hi Mike, thank you for contacting us. Try unplugging your fridge for 5 to 10 minutes to reset it. If this does not help, we would recommend checking the dispenser display cover assembly, part number PS12077133. We hope that helps!
Ice dispenser runs every 10 minutes automatically. I disconnected the cover assembly display and that did not stop the problem.

Hello Mike, Thank you for your inquiry. The other causes could be that the lever on the funnel assembly is stuck open, so check the lever to make sure it is not stuck. We would also recommend checking the ice dispenser door motor, and the duct cap assembly for any visible damage. We hope this helps.
This repair was easy. The ice maker assembly is basically a plug and play unit that requires first removing the ice bucket as described inside the freezer door. Next, remove several screws the support the unit, then gently lifting the ice maker assembly out, just far enough to access the 2 electrical plugs that operate the unit. Caref
... Read moreully unplug the old unit and remove it. Next, plug the new unit and then reverse the disassembly process. I could have done this in 10 minutes had I not been careful not to break anything. No special tools are required.
Removed ice dispenser and display with small screwdriver from front of the fridge. Pried out the whole piece slowly. This exposed the motor that activates the chute. Plugged in the new motor before any removal to verify the motor was the problem. When it worked, removed old and installed new. 3 screws. Piece of cake.
