DOES THIS GAS STOVE HAVE MORE THAN 1 PILOT LIGHT. I SMELL GAS
For model number JGB735EP1ES
PartSelect logo
Hi Connie, Thank you for your question. There are no pilot lights in your oven. It has both a bake igniter, part number PS11726670, and a broil igniter, part number PS11762350. If you are smelling gas in your oven, it may be the result of malfunctioning igniters, blocked oven vents or the oven is dirty. When the oven is first turned on, it is normal to smell a gas smell coming from it. This is caused by combustion of the gas when it is ignited and it will go away after a few minutes. An odorant is added to gas and this could also be what you are smelling. If this is not what you are experiencing, you will need to have a technician come and check your oven. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!

Are there silicone pads to keep the stovetop clean for this model? So if I spill something, it lands on the pad and not the stove. Then I can wash it to keep the spilt food from baking onto the surface. I know they are not recommended for the oven. I saw some on Amazon, but I was not sure if they would fit the stovetop of this model. Thanks!

Twice I ordered the oven light bulb & each time the light bulb was defected
I had to call for a appointment for repair with GE Appliance because I thought then it . .was something electrical. The technician came out & checked everything out, turned out it was not electrical, The technician went out to his truck got a light bulb from his truck, put it in & it worked. It cost me $121.00 for trip charge from GE appliance for a light bulb that worked, your light bulbs were defective twice. Very disappointed with your products, cost me alot of money for a good light bulb thru GE appliance

Original burner cap was chipping; must have been dropped somewhere along the line.
New burner cap replaced old; just placed over burner; no tools required.

One suggestion: burner cap should have been shipped with thicker bubble protection (easy to do). It was minimally wrapped and placed in a thin, bubble envelope, risking damage in shipping process. Luckily, the burner arrived in tact and usable.
