Ice dispenser won’t dispense whole or crushed but makes the back ground sound of the motor as it always does when it works. It dispenses water just fine.

It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty control assembly PS2341896 and/or possibly a malfunctioning Ice maker itself PS869316 you should check the part(s) for signs of damage or test with a multimeter, and replace the part(s) as needed. Hello, deborah again, i wasn’t clear with my question, sorry. The ice maker makes and drops ice into its container but the ice dispenser(into your glass) does not come out even though you can hear the motor as you always do. It doesn’t drop whole or crushed (into your glass) but the water fill works fine.

The old tracks had been falling out consistently, causing the deli tray to fall on top of the food below it (which included the eggs, though none were broken since they were in a hard plastic container).

Best thing about it is that it doesn't appear that these tracks are coming out easily! Mission accomplished!
removed flap door in front of icemaker...removed 3 screws with bolt heads...removed one additional screw with bolt head and ice unit slid out. I removed motor unit (pops out no screws). Replaced and had ice within 3 hours.
