On Friday, June 11/21 there was a humming noise coming from the fridge. The bottom freezer was filled with snow. We unplugged cleaned it behind and pulled everything out. Today there is a bit of water in the bottom freezer and everything has thawed out,. What part would we need to be replaced and is it still available for this Kenmore fridge purchased in 2007? Thank you for your help. Elaine
For model number 65012
Hello Elaine, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Defrost Thermostat. With a Multi Meter you can test the sensor to see if it is defective. The readings should be 77K ohms at -4 degrees, at 23 degrees F 38.4K ohms, at 32 degrees F 30K ohms, and at 41 degrees F 24.1K ohms. Hope this helps!

Remove and replace light switch
Video makes it look easy. Kenmore refrigerator does not have "groove" along the right hand side of switch that allows for pushing down on release. Used a thin screwdriver to get under to push while holding switch edge with pliers. Kept slipping. Tape sides to avoid scratching inside of refrigerator.

Light stopped working
Have had the Sears repairman come to the house to replace this part in 5 minutes for +$100.. twice. When my dad's stopped working, ordered the part and replaced it myself for the cost of the part and shipping.
