If the trigger is broken on the left side, it is really easy to replace, if broken on the right side like mine the snow chute joystick control is in the way. I ordered a replacement chute rotation gearbox. The small metal ball on the end of the cable (on the replacement part) was attached about 1/8" too long and made it so that there was too much play in the trigger that operates it. Thus, the replacement part did not work. I called customer service for directions about returning the part.
... Read more They said it must have been defective. I'm still waiting for instructions about returning it for a refund. The whole thing was a bust. I ended up disassembling the old gearbox and fixing it, instead of replacing it (which would have been my preference). The replacement part did not work at all!
