Refrigerator is freezing some items. Don’t understand what’s happening.
For model number RB150TV
Hello Shea, thank you for your question. There could be a few reasons why your fridge would freeze food. The temperature in your fridge should be 3-4.5 degrees Celsius. If your food is freezing, then it is possible that your fridge’s temperature setting was accidentally set too low. Refrigerators use air vents to circulate cold air and ensure a consistent temperature. If food is blocking these air vents, it will be exposed to more cold air and may freeze. If your condenser coils are dirty, your fridge must work harder and may cause your food to freeze. If your door seal is not sealing properly your refrigerator will have to work harder to maintain a constant temperature. If all these things check out, we recommend replacing your Cold Control Thermostat, part number PS11743751. We hope this helps.
