Spark Ignitor
PartSelect Number PS11728608
Manufacturer Part Number 808608802
The function of the ignitor in your range is to create the spark that ignites the gas on the burners. If your spark ignition system is not functioning properly, you may need to replace the ignitor. This part is approximately 3 inches in length. The ignitor is located in the rear of the range, so you will need to remove the back panel in order to access it for this repair. Before beginning this repair, be sure that the gas valve for the range is shut off. You should also disconnect the power source to the range before you begin.

Center Burner Switch would not generate spark and one other burner would not light.
In order to get to the burner switch you must remove the top of the range. Removed the 2 screws in the front holding it down then tried to remove the burner mounting screws securing the burner holders in place. Of the 12 screws, 10 were frozen. The screws sheared when I tried to remove them. After removing the top, I removed the burner holders one at a time and drilled out the broken screws. I would have purchased replacements but the part was listed as unavailable. I removed the front panel which exposed the switches. I cut the wires of the defective switch and used heat shrink crimp connectors to connect the new switch. With the top off the ignition module in the back of the range is exposed. I popped the old one out, changed the wires to the new one, one at a time and secured the new one in place with wire ties as the mounting tabs did not line up. Reassembled the range top using new #8 3/4" stainless steel screws to secure the burner holders. Plugged it in, turned on the gas and voila all the burners light. What should have been a 2 hour job took about 10 hours due to having to drill out the sheared screws.

Spark Module
PartSelect Number PS2350722
Manufacturer Part Number 316135702
This spark module or range spark module, is used in ranges and ovens. The spark module monitors and controls the spark to ignite the surface burner in a range. It does this by sending a certain amount of current to the igniter to produce that spark. If you are not getting any spark to the igniters then it is best you replace this part with a new spark module. To repair, first remove the access panel at the back of your range with a 1/4 inch nut driver to take the screws out. Next, disconnect the power harness that connects the range to the power cord to access the spark module. Take wires off using needle nose pliers and pull the spark module off the range. Match and hook up the wires to the new part. Refer to the manual provided by the manufacturer for further installation instructions and guidance.

Top four burners on oven would not light without using match
Really simple..Opened the top of the oven and followed the four wires hooked to the igniters on the burners to the back of the oven. Unscrewed top section in back of oven. Found spark module screwed to uppper back of oven on right side. Used a nutdriver to take a few screws out of upper back of oven. Unscrewed spark module from oven. There are six wires - four to the burners and two to the power supply....Wires are attached by connectors so didn't have to do anything but pull the connectors off the old spark module one at a time and push them onto the new spark module matching postion of each wire. Screwed spark module back onto back of oven. Screwed back section of oven back onto rear of oven, and that was it. Works perfectly. Saved more than $100 for service call and whatever elevated price they'd charge me for the spark module.
