This tune-up kit is a genuine OEM replacement kit used in lawn and garden equipment. It is specially designed to provide you with everything you need to maintain your engine in one easy package. The kit includes one air filter, one spark plug, and one fuel filter. The air filter prevents contaminants in the air from flowing into the equipment engine. The fuel filter prevents contaminants from entering the fuel tank, and the spark plug is responsible for igniting the fuel and air mixture that allows the engine to run. It is normal for the filters to wear down or become clogged with debris over time while the spark plug can become fouled or damaged as well. If these parts are faulty, you will have difficulties starting your equipment, your engine may overheat and stall, and you will notice reduced power output from your equipment. It is recommended to replace these parts at the beginning of each season for optimal performance. Detach the air filter cover and clean the housing before placing the new air filter in place. Drain the fuel from the tank, disconnect the fuel lines, and replace the fuel filter. Finally, use a spark plug wrench to remove the faulty spark plug, and use a gaping tool to set the correct gap size on your new spark plug according to your model specifications. Thread the new spark plug in by hand and then tighten it with the wrench to complete your repair.
