You may need to detach the auger bit to access the blade. Align the new blade with the auger shaft and secure it in position.

This authentic OEM air cleaner element, also known as an air filter, includes one paper filter surrounded by a foam pre-cleaner for use in a variety of outdoor power equipment. The foam pre-cleaner acts as the first protective barrier and traps larger particles to prevent them from clogging or tearing the paper filter. However, it is normal for the air filter to become clogged or torn due over time, due to accumulated dirt and debris, or due to prolonged use without replacement.
