OMG seriously! I stopped into my go-to appliance repair shop to ask about what might be needed to repair the problem with my refrigerator door. They said you will need to replace the Mullion Flap piece. Cost would be $250-300 with part, labor and service. I went on line to see if I could handle the repair process myself. I found a How to

- U Tube video and turns out I only needed to replace a little spring and pin not the whole Mullion Flap. Went to Parts select, ordered the spring and pin and did the repair myself in about 5 minutes. Shipping was $7 so I ended up paying $13 total.

Replaced parts, as ordered - very simple. Watched the video before hand. Found that existing assembly did not have the "Y" clip installed. Been making ice for three weeks with no freezing up (yet) - time will tell.
When the folding divider on a French-door refrigerator will not retract, the spring pin or sleeve may be worn or broken. This support piece helps hold the mullion spring in the left door so the flap moves as the doors open and close. Check for a missing spring, cracked hinge point, bent flap, or door alignment problem before choosing a replacement. Confirm fit with the full appliance model because small sleeves can differ. Record the spring position before removal and avoid forcing brittle plastic. Install the sleeve in the same direction shown in the service diagram, reconnect the spring carefully, and test the flap before loading the door with food.

This is a French door hinge that is compatible with various models of refrigerators and is used to control the mullion (long plastic strips) on the inside portion of the French doors. If you notice that your doors open and the mullion either moves freely or is stuck, this hinge needs to be replaced immediately to prevent issues with frost buildup, energy efficiency and temperature fluctuations. Replacing this hinge is quite simple, and you will only need a flathead and Philips-head screwdriver to do it. First, remove the screw covers from the securing screws for the mullion. Unscrew and remove the securing screws with your Philips-head screwdriver, and then pull the mullion up and out carefully to dislodge it from the fridge door. Near the middle of the mullion, disconnect the wire harness to remove the mullion completely. Remove the hinge cover with a flathead screwdriver to expose the hinge, and then carefully remove and replace the old hinge onto its attaching spring. Then you can simply reassemble the rest of the door assembly, along with the hinge cover and wire harness.

hen holding an ice cube on the sensor so I just assumed it was ok. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: When performing a resistance check on this sensor, make sure your readings match the Samsung temp/resistance chart in their literature. My sensor was way off calibration and was causing the freeze up. Its working as designed now and DW is happy again. Learn from my mistake.
