This condenser fan motor kit is designed for use with refrigerators. This fan draws air through the condenser coils and over the compressor. It does this with the goal of cooling the warm refrigerant before it enters the evaporator. When your fan or fan motor is not working your refrigerator will not cool properly. This is a 2-Watt, 115 Volt motor that rotates the fan in a counter clockwise direction. This kit includes the hardware needed for installation, and a set of instructions. Before you begin any repair work make sure to unplug your appliance.

This condenser fan motor kit includes a motor, fan blade, wire harness, and screws. Used in a refrigerator, the condenser fan motor moves the condenser fan blade to direct and move air across the condenser coil. Please note: The manufacturer has changed the appearance of the product from the original. The kit still functions the same as the original part. It is an OEM factory replacement. Make sure to unplug the refrigerator from the power source and wear gloves to protect your hands. Also, a helpful tip is to store food to prevent deterioration when the power is off.

Seven year old condenser fan was making noise when it was running.
The process to repair was very simple, I removed the back of the refrigerator to expose the motor area. I then removed three screws that held the condenser motor in place. once it was loose I detactched the electrical harness and removed the old motor. I then placed the new motor in place and secured it with the screws and reattached the new electrical harness that came with the new part. Once completed I reviewed it to make sure I didn't miss anything. I then replaced the cover over the motor area and enjoyed my success in repairing my own appliance with no added cost for labor, which would have been expensive I'm sure. The part purchased came with clear and consice instructions very easy to follow. Read more...

This is a replacement condenser fan motor kit for your refrigerator. This six-piece kit contains foam tape, 2 screws, the fan blade, the new motor mounting bracket, and the condenser fan motor. The condenser fan motor is found in the back of the refrigerator, and it moves air across the compressor and the condenser to keep them cool. If the motor has failed, the condenser and the compressor will run hot, and this can cause the refrigerator not to cool. This is an OEM part from the manufacturer.

Replaced the heater-core motor
It was fairly easy. Only had to remove the back cardboard. Remove 3 screws and the power plug.
Replacing the screws took a little time the motor mount didn't seem to be tapped exactly for the screws supplied and it was in a tight area. Its working great now.

The evaporator is found in the back of the freezer. This kit comes with two mounting grommets, two sleeves (not to be used on porcelain models), two #8 mounting screws, and a push-on fan blade. If you are experiencing symptoms such as the fridge making loud noises (generally stemming from the freezer compartment), or the fridge/freezer feeling warm in temperature, this may indicate a need to replace your evaporator fan motor. This part pulls air into the evaporator coils and then disperses the air in a continuous motion throughout the refrigerator and freezer. NOTE: NO LONGER ABLE TO GET BRACKETS. Unit very noisy and freezer too warm
First I removed the racks in the freezer. The rack supports on the sides lift off without tools. The evaporator cover is at the back of the freezer. 4 phillips head screws. The cover lifts up then forward to expose the evaporator, evaporator fan and duct. The duct is held by 3 hex head screws. The evaporator fan is attached to the duct with a wiring pigtail to a plug. Unplug the fan and remove the duct. The fan is held by 2 hexhead screws. The new fan is put in place and assembly is simply the reverse of disassembly. The unit is quiet and cools properly now. The new part fit perfectly. Read more...

PartSelect Number PS3523323
Manufacturer Part Number 4681JB1027C
This is a genuine OEM evaporator motor that directly powers the evaporator mechanism within your refrigerator. This mechanism is responsible for pulling air over the evaporator coils, which are cold, and circulating that cold air back throughout the appliance. Without this motor, the interior of your refrigerator would build up frost, strain the compressor, and simply not cool your fridge enough. A warm fridge, frost buildup or unusual noises are all signs that this fan needs replacing, and over time or through excessive dust building up, motor issues will arise and can cause it to fail. This fan motor is sold as an individual part, so it does not come with any securing screws or the fan blade itself. Replacing the evaporator fan motor will require your user manual and Philips-head and flathead screwdrivers. You need to gain access to the evaporator cover, which you will need to locate using your user manual schematics. Once the cover is removed and you disconnect the wire harnesses within it, you can disassemble the fan mechanism on its inside portion. With the fan mechanism disassembled, remove the old mechanism and install the new one, with the securing screws and wire harnesses.

Very bad noise which stopped when the door was opened
The Refrigerator now runs very quite.
After watching several videos I started on mine and found that it was a bit different than any in the videos. However all but the back panel was shown and that was helpful.
The back panel was a bit difficult but a hair dryer seemed to help .
All in all it was a good choice to do it myself as it was done quicker than waiting on a repair man.

Ice chute would not open.
Removed ice dispenser and display with small screwdriver from front of the fridge. Pried out the whole piece slowly. This exposed the motor that activates the chute. Plugged in the new motor before any removal to verify the motor was the problem. When it worked, removed old and installed new. 3 screws. Piece of cake. Read more...
