No spark at top burners, first one then eventually all 4.
Most of the repair time was spent researching the problem online, locating the spark module inside the range, and selecting the part online. Installation was easy. Key troubleshooting info for me was, if there is no clicking, the spark unit is probably worn-out. I traced the ignition wires from the burners down to the spark module, located inside a 2x3" metal housing next to the bottom drawer. I removed 2 screws and out it came. The replacement unit pictured on the PartSelect site was not identical to the original but had the same number of contacts. I ordered the part and it arrived a few days later. The old connectors slipped easily onto the new pins, and I screwed the new unit into the range using the new metal housing. All 4 burners now spark up quickly, and we saved at least $100 on a service call. It was well worth the time and effort -- thanks!

This spark module provides the electrical spark needed to ignite surface burners on a gas range or cooktop, helping ensure safe and reliable burner operation. It is commonly replaced when burners will not light, sparking is weak or inconsistent, or clicking occurs without ignition. This component plays a key role in proper burner startup during normal cooking use. Installation generally involves disconnecting power and gas, accessing the spark module beneath the cooktop, and carefully reconnecting the wiring during replacement; professional installation is recommended to ensure correct and safe operation.

Gas stove won’t light on half the appliance
First we replaced the wiring harness because a multi-meter said it wasn’t getting power. That was only partially true. The wiring harness was burned looking so we just kept it instead of sending it back. When the spark module got here the burner caps were removed and then the wires were noted where they went on the module and then the power and gas were turned off. The spark module was removed and then the stove was tested and we were back in business.

Symptom: No clicking spark to any of the burners.
Based on symptom, knew either switches or spark module. Checked continuity to each switch. Knew if only one faulty, entire harness must be replaced. Checked out good. Spark module isolated so replaced it.
This is the part that substitutes for the spark module and also the transformer. It is now all in one board.
