End Cap on refrigerator handle broke

I unscrewed the top broken end cap and bottom end cap (had to match-up the chrome pieces), attached the handle to both of the new end caps, and using a phillips screw driver, screwed them back on to the refrigerator. Very easy.

Replace Broken Freezer Handle

The first thing to know on this model is that the handles for the refrigerator and the freezer are identical parts. It is the plastic piece at the end of the handle that breaks. Unfortunately, they only sell the complete handle, which is a shame as it is expensive. To remove the broken Freezer Handle, use a small allen wrench to loosen the bolt on the side. The handle should then slide off easily. You may then remove the two screws at the bottom. Slide the new handle into place, and tighten the screws at the bottom first. This will ensure the handle is properly located. Then tighten the allen bolt on the sidewhile holding the handle agains the face of the freezer. Read more...

Handle snapped at the top near two phillips head screws

Unscrewing the top two screws on top of the lower door was easy. The bottom part of the handle has a small hole with a small screw that has a hex head on it.
