Kenmore Cooktop Drip Bowl - 8"
★★★★★
★★★★★
100 Reviews
PartSelect Number PS437595
Manufacturer Part Number 316048413
This chrome drip bowl is designed for use with electric cooktops and ranges. This drip bowl is sold individually. At the widest point this part has a diameter of approximately 10 inches. It sits beneath the surface burner element. It catches any drips or spills coming from the cookware on your burner. Because the cooktop is a high-traffic area of the kitchen, these bowls often get damaged, or get so dirty they can no longer be adequately cleaned. When replacing this part you need to remove the burner element. While you have it out we recommend inspecting the terminals and the element for any corrosion, arcing, or discoloration. Any of those things could be a sign of a bigger problem, and it indicates that the element and terminal block should be replaced.

Drip bowls are located under the heating elements and catch grease and spills that come from cooking on your stove top. If your drip bowl is damaged or rusted, it could allow grease to drip inside your range. This 8 inch chrome drip bowl fits most electric ranges. Before you replace your damaged drip bowl, make sure the element is turned off and cool to the touch. Installation is easy, just remove the element, replace the current drip bowl, and reattach the element. Make sure the small hole on the bowl lines up with the element socket. Drip bowls are sold separately.

Control switch did not function and one burner worked only occasionally
First, I used the PatrSelect website, which has great prices, and has helpful diagrams. Once I had all the parts, I worked with my wife to turn off the power at our home junction box. Next, I lifted off the cover over the control area of this range. I removed four nuts to lift out the panel that holds the four controls and the fan switch. I removed the wires from the broken controls, removed the two screws holding each control in place, then screwed the new ones in place. I would recommend trimming the posts on the controls to the correct size before screwing them in place, because it is easier to grip them and not bend them when they are not mounted. I reconnected the wires and replaced the panel. For the "receptacle", I followed the instructions provided regarding cutting the wire and placing the wire nut and heat shrink tubing. I opened the unit that houses the burners to get easy access. Read more...

rental property stove only had 2 working burners and bottom drawer off track
first i took out burners then i took out the screws of the termnal block bracket. i then raised the lid on the stoveand clipped the wires on all 4 of the terminal block kits.i then slipped the shrink wrap on wires and used the wire nuts to connect wires together then heated the shrink wrap. I then put screws back in terminal block brackets. I then put the burners on while looking under lid so i would know they were making good connections as this is a bad design from factory. if you pull out burners to clean them and they are not put back in right you dont have a good connection and that causes the terminal blocks to get hot and melt. thats what happened in my case.
As far as the drawer glides they just snap into place

Kenmore Cooktop Drip Bowl - 6 Inch
★★★★★
★★★★★

PartSelect Number PS244394
Manufacturer Part Number WB31T10010
This drip bowl, also known as the drip pan or burner bowl, is 6 inches in internal diameter to match the burner, but actually measures closer to 8 inches in total diameter to its outer edges. This authentic manufacturer-approved part is used to catch spills from cooking on the top burner. If your bowls are getting stained, dirty, or rusted, this replacement can solve it. First, remove the element from the stove top, and pull out the old drip pan. Insert the new bowl and make sure it is aligned to where the element is plugged in. Lastly, you can put the element back in. For safety precautions, make sure to unplug the range from the power source and wait until the surface is cool before replacing this part. This part is sold individually, if you are replacing more than one drip bowl on your stove at once, you will need to account for this. To replace, simply pull the old surface elements and burner bowls off, give everything a thorough clean, and install the new parts with no tools necessary.

Kenmore Cooktop Drip Bowl - 8 Inch

61 Reviews
PartSelect Number PS244395
Manufacturer Part Number WB31T10011
This Drip Bowl, also known as a burner bowl or drip pan, is made to fit an element 8 inches in diameter and comes in chrome. The actual total diameter of this drip bowl is closer to 10 inches, but don't worry, it will fit your 8-inch burner. This bowl is used to catch drippings and food that falls when cooking on the oven element. The drip bowl might burn, become rusty, and wear down over time, and will need to be replaced. Replacing the drip pan is very easy. The elements on the oven must be removed to access the pan underneath. When replacing the bowl, make sure to line up the hole with the terminal block where the element plugs into, and always remove power to your appliance and ensure it is completely cool before commencing your repair. These drip bowls are sold individually, not as a set for your appliance, so you will need to purchase each separately if upgrading all the drip bowls for your range.

Kenmore Cooktop Grate Foot
★★★★★
★★★★★
17 Reviews
PartSelect Number PS2353327
Manufacturer Part Number WB02T10461
The Grate Foot is a black rubber part which attaches underneath the grate in order to protect your stovetop from being scratched, which it does by cushioning the grate on your gas range. If this part appears visibly broken or no longer holds in place, which can happen to these feet over time, then it should be replaced. Check your model number and user manual to see if this part is right for you. Because this part is sold individually, make sure to order the quantity that you require. We generally recommend checking all of the grate feet on your appliance and replacing them at the same time, since it is an inexpensive part and they tend to wear out at around the same rate. Spares are good to have in the event of future failures. Before beginning this repair, ensure that the surface is cool to the touch. Simply pull the worn or cracked foot out and install the new grate foot. This process should not require any tools or accessories.

The cooktop had a shorted out burner control.
Unpllug the cooktop and turn off the gas supply. Remove the grates and burners.(they just lift out). Using a torx screwdriver, remove all the torx screws below where the burners sit. There are three screws per burner, except the power burner which has only two screws. Genly lift the stainless steel cooktop, separating it from the rest of the enclosure. Hold the electrodes with one hand, while gently twisting and pulling the wire connector off. Now, remove the aluminum covered foam piece. You will now have acess to the wiring harness assembly. Disconnect the quick connectors and replace with the new assembly. Re-assemble in the reverse order and you're done. About 1.5 to 2 hours. Good Luck Read more...

Kenmore Cooktop Main Terminal Block Kit

PartSelect Number PS471605
Manufacturer Part Number 5304409888
Terminal block kits are also known as terminal boards, or terminal strips, and they are found in a wide variety of household appliances. Most often in ranges, wall ovens, and dryers. This kit attaches the power cord to the inner wiring of your appliance. If the terminal block is faulty, your appliance will not get the power it needs to operate properly. When removing the old block pay close attention to the wire placement, this will make installing your new part much easier. If you notice any of the wires or wire terminals are corroded or damaged they will also need to be replaced.
