Drain pump was cracked
Turned washer on its side. Pulled the bottom plate off. Then unplugged the electrical lines. Then unbolted the drain pump and bolted the new drain pump in. Then reversed the process.

Removed the front panel unplugged
The washer drained water out, lift the washer up to un screw the drain pump. Then unhooked the hoses from pump put the other pump in.

(1) First I unpluged the washer then I removed the water from the tube with a water vac.(2) Then I removed the three (3) screws that holds the front panel, using a Torx T-20 socket. ( this is a front load washer ). The panel is below the loading door.

(7) I pulled the pump forward so the clamps that hold the drain hose and discharge hose could be removed using the hose clamp pliers. ( they come off much easier then they go back on ).
(8) I tested the pump and found it would run but was making a lot of noise and running slow.
(9) To reinstall start with number (7) and work backwards to number (1) skipping (3) and (4).

Wouldn’t drain pump made loud noise
Removed old drain pump and found a sock in the inlet - must have burned out pump because after removing it pump was still defective. Installed new pump in about 30 minutes and off to the races no more issues

Im a 58 year old single woman. Swap out of pump motor was so easy. Took less than 15 min. Ordered the part on Tuesday it came the next day. I installed it and did 4 loads of laundry.

I found the water pump bearings were going bad from humidity. I replaced the pump with a new one and it runs quiet again.

small amount of water will drain from the hoses and pump when removed. Remove the three screws holding the pump to the frame and remove the pump. Install the new pump in the same position. Reattach the hoses, replace the belt, and reinstall the cover panel. That's all there is to it.

First- I unplugged and completely drained machine of water by putting hose at ground level near drain . Second- removed back plate to washer saving all hardware.
