Fault code said that the pump was pluged.
I pulled out the filter and it was not pugged so I ordered a new pump and installed it, easy to do. That took care of the fault code and it was repaired. Being who I am I took apart the old pump and found that the pump had a build up around the armature of the pump motor. I cleaned it up and reinstalled it and the old pump worked fine. Now I have a spear pump for the next it fails. Easy repair that took less than 15 minuets to fix.
Happy to deal with Parts Select they have great shipping.

Kept getting drain error codes- drain pump was loud
An easy job- hardest part was moving the machine away from the wall - ours is stacked with dryer on top.

Once we pulled it away from the wall:
1) remove back cover with a screwdriver (I used a driver to make this easier)
2) unclamp the drain hose from drain pump and drain excess water into a shallow pan
3) unplug the electrical connection from drain pump
4) use a wrench to remove the 4 hex screws holding the drain pump to the drum
5) pull down the drain pump from drum
6) repeat above in reverse to install new pump

E1 F9 code. Cannot drain.
Removed back panel. Remove 4 8mm sockets on pump assembly. Replace with new pump. Only difficult because of limited clearance. But I'm huge.

Error Code F01 E09 (Drain Issues)
Unplug appliance. Remove the back panel with the 1/4” nut driver and cordless drill. The pump is located as you face the back of the machine on the bottom. Remove four screws that hold pump in. Reverse the process and install new pump. Check the filter and clean out the housing.
Reinstall back panel and plug back in. Run a test load (no clothes) and test drain.

Washer not draining and door locked .. Loud buzzing
First, the repair manual is under the top cover. From the manual, I found that my problem E1 F0 (I think) was one of two possible issues, the drain pump or level switch. I bought both parts and replaced them and the issue is no more. The repair went very easy. You remove the rear cover and top. The pump is located in the bottom bay of the machine. The only issue I had was that the machine had the drawer unit, which blocked the access panel under the machine and made installation and removal a little more difficult. The best way is to tilt the machine forward to reach the bolts, a small ratchet set works nicely. The level switch is on the right side, toward the rear. This part slides out, and the wires are keyed, so they only go in one way.

The washing machine get trying to pump water out and the door wouldn't open and all the lights were off on the panel.
I thought it was the pump and ordered one. After I ordered it I decided to look up online how to get the error code. Itsaid to push any three buttons (except off and on)
In a row in succession twice. So one two three one two three. Walla! It worked. The codes popped up on the panel. I looked the codes up online. Itsaid the codes meant the hot and cold water were not filling at the same rate and the washing machine by default shut the system down and has only the pump run for 8 minutes.
The remedy - turn the dial to a new setting. It worked!! Once I turned the dial all the lights came on and the machine was back to normal. Unfortunately when I called part select a few hours after I order the part there was no answer and they shipped the part express the next day. They are letting me return it but only partial payment of what I paid. About one third of my cost and I had to pay return shipping of $13.00.

Water not completely draining from washer
Disconnect electrical plug. Remove rear panel from washer. Remove drain hose. Open filter on pump unit to drain water from washer ( use a catch pan to catch water) remove drain hose from drain pump unit. Remove electrical connector. Remove 4 mounting bolts. Remove drain pump assembly. Install new pump in reverse order. Once washer is assembled. Pour about a quart of washer into the drum so as not to run the drain pump dry. Enjoy your repaired washer

Washer won’t drain
Took sometime to figure out the problem. A little difficult to replace part partly due to the drain pump with filter’s location in the washer. Mine is on its lower right rear. It’s reachable and yet difficult. Good luck!

Washer door is locked and making draining noise when I plug it back into outlet. Still holding water and won’t power on. Do I need to replace Drain pump?
For model number WFW75HEFW0
PartSelect logo
Hello Alec, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model you have provided and although the door is locking, it may not be communicating to the control board that the washer is locked, so we would still recommend testing it. You can also test the drain pump with a multimeter to see if it is faulty. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

The washer will stop at the draining point in the cycle and flash error E01 F09. I can turn off the machine but the door stays locked. Sometimes it will eventually drain on it's own and finally unlock. But the clothes will still be wet inside. Now when it flashes that error, I have to unplug the washer for 15mins or so, when I plug it back in, it will somethings still not work. I can hear it making a grinding clunky noise from the bottom. After unplugging and plugging it back in, it will eventually drain out and unlock the door. Last night after going through this whole process, I usually run the Drain & Spin cycle to get the water out of the clothes, but it wouldn't drain in that cycle either. It began to flash E03 F09. It eventually drained the water out but the clothes were still soaking wet.

Hello Mike, thank you for the question. Based on our research, this error code appears when there is a long drain time, water overflow, or an issue with the pump. You may need to check the filter and drain hose for any kink and clog. If that is not the case, we would recommend replacing the water level switch, part number PS11754877, and the drain pump, part number PS11756700. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!

My previous question asked: Getting error message (E01/F09) at end of wash cycle and clothes seem wet like spin cycle did not complete running. Your reply answer: A whirlpool washer E1 or F9 error (FP with some models) means that the washer is taking too long to drain (typically, over 8 minutes). Our suggestion is to replace the drain pump PS11756700. My next question: Do you have a video you can send that shows the repair procedure to take out and replace the drain pump. Also, my washer is a Maytag not a Whirlpool. However, I know Whirlpool owns Maytag but I just want to be sure I’m buying the correct part. Thanks
