IKEA Nutid microwave start button stopped working. Gently removed button with ouer edge, saw sensor was disconnected

First - Be certain to order both button and button holder, in same order (I ordered separately, after realizing I would need both, since interlocking, paid 2 delivery charges)
Turn off breaker, unscrew from cabinet, pull out far enough to access 4 tiny star screws (2 each side) line up button and insert into holder, push into hole in glass. Sensor clicks into button holder. Look at other buttons to see alignment. Screw back together Read more...

plastic door button plunger broke

I was really delighted that parts are still offered for this model microwave oven, also know as "time master"

The plastic plunger broke and as long as I had it apart I replaced all plastic pieces associated with the door handle assembly. The door handle had plastic forms for the screws to go into. these plastic forms were also cracked and unusable.

The problem was all due to old brittle plastic failing. The repair was easy and was completed in no time. Read more...
