This rack adjuster kit (Dishrack Adjuster Kit, Adjuster Kit, Dishwasher Rack Adjuster) will adjust the height of the upper rack of your dishwasher. It connects to the dishrack. The kit is constructed of grey plastic and metal, and measures approximately 12 inches wide and 6.5 inches tall. The rack adjuster can break from material fatigue or prolonged high temperature exposure. High temperature exposure can compromise the integrity of the materials. If the rack adjuster breaks, your upper rack may fall down, may be unlevel, or the door may not close. This kit includes the parts to replace the left and right-side rack adjusters and has been upgraded to a more durable metal design (2 adjuster assemblies, 1 left hand and 1 right hand actuator cover, 2 gray adjuster covers, and 2 gray adjuster housings)

Replace rack adjusters - wheel were broken
Replacement was pretty easy after figuring out how to unsnap/unlock the old pieces. Tools only used to do a little prying and poking, but really aren't needed. Everything either snaps or slides together. Piece of cake

Broken cheap plastic wheels lower rack
Popped out old wheel housing. Popped in replacement with a little help from a flathead screwdriver. Easy.
The lower rack provides easy loading with flexibility for small and large items, and helps hold the dishes in place during the wash and dry cycle. The rack measures approximately 22-inch x 21-inch. The rack is light gray in color with wheels included, lower fold down, and a flexrow retainer. This is a genuine OEM part.

bottom rack was starting to rust away and we needed a new one

The tines were rusty and were making marks on my bowls.
The new lower rack came with wheels, but there were some other plastic parts I needed to move from the old rack to the new. No tools necessary! Use the old rack as a reference to make sure you put the wheels on the correct sides.

Lower dishrack sections rusting out
Put new rack by old rack. Carefully remove a wheel assembly off old rack, then installed on new rack. Did this 3 more times. Then remove front tab clips off old rack & installed on new rack

The new rack came with four parts... those four parts were the wheels that the rack rides on to slide it into the dishwasher. You will need to recycle two rubber bumpers, your old utensil basket and the cone in the center of the rack. Getting the cone free was not easy. It has to be rotated to release it from the wire rack. t free with a screwdriver. Once rotated it lifted out easily. I noted how the cone lined up in the old rack and installed it the same way in the new rack. It was much easier to install than remove. The new rack has a gray tinge to it but fits perfectly and we are pleased with the end result.

Replaced old dish racks that had rusted and had broken tines.
Took the old wheels, and other parts from the old racks and installed them on the new. The wheels on the lower rack just snap on. Also the folding tines just snapped on. On the upper rack the brackets that hold the wheels have two screws that hold the bracket. I removed them and then installed the bracket on the new rack in the same p

osition as on the old one. The only hard part was getting the old spray arm off the old rack. I had no directions so I had to figure it out for myself. I finally cut the the old rack to get the pressure tower off. It was stuck because of having been in place for more than ten years. Putting the tower and the arm on the new rack was no problem once I had it removed. Total time to do the job about 45 minutes.
