two igniters didnt function and it continued to spark after the gas ignited.
Well, after I finally got the parts, the repair was easier than anticipated. You deffinitely want to lift the unit out to replace the spark module and swap over one wire at a time so you dont forget where they go, (important on a gas stove) When I pulled out the old unit I found it was just jammed in there when constructed, I expected more from Jenn-air, and the plastic casing was broke and pulled apart. Surprised it lasted this long. Also three of the ceramic insulators on the ignitors were broke or cracked. But over all the unit was fairly simple to repair if you take your time and practice safety. Remember, you are working with gas and electicity, and use soapy water to check your connection when you reconnect the gas line. Dont try to work on it still hooked up and in its mount . Disconnect it and lift it out.

Symptom: No clicking spark to any of the burners.
Based on symptom, knew either switches or spark module. Checked continuity to each switch. Knew if only one faulty, entire harness must be replaced. Checked out good. Spark module isolated so replaced it.

If you still want to know how to replace the spark module start by removing #24. This will allow the removal of #9 (after you take the knobs off). You may have to do some fiddling cause the rubber gasket is sticky. Next there are 2 obvious regular screws for #14 and 2 not so obvious star screws in the space where the burner valves are. After #14 is off there are 2 screws on the spark module to be removed and one that you can't loosen that is in a slot. You wriggle the module out of that one. Read more...

Burners kept clicking after ignited
This problem was driving me crazy for months. Of course, after I bought and installed the part and it still was not fixed I finally found a website that told me how to fix the clicking. The problem is that the removable head burners (#8 on the top assembly diagram) are not making good electrical contact with the base burners (#22). What I did was grab the head burners and grind them back and forth into the base burners with the weight on the heal of my hand. Steel wool or sandpaper would work too--you just want to clean the surfaces to restore electrical contact.If you still want to know how to replace the spark module start by removing #24. Sparker would not quit sparking after lighting the gas.
Turned off the gas then disconnected the gas line. Unplugged the AC cord and removed the unit from the counter top. Had to locate a suitable area to lay the cooktop, rather large. The bottom cover is held on by 6-8 sheet metal screws, however, the gas regulator and nipple must be removed also for the cover to come off. I removed the Igniter module screws, leaving the wires connected and mounted the new module in it's place. I then removed one wire at a time from the old and put it on the new part. Replaced the back cover and reinstalled the gas regulator with fresh pipe sealant. Probably took an hour including cleaning the top and counter top.
