I have a piece of a necklace sticking out from under the agitator, How do I lift the agitator out so as to remove this?
For model number NTW4605EW0
Hi Tony,
Thank you for your question. To remove the agitator, you will first need to remove the dispenser cap on the top of the agitator and expose the bolt underneath. Then you will just need to remove the bolt and then pull up on the agitator to remove it. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

Washer won't start. No power comes on but there is power to the outlet that it is plugged in to.
For model number NTW4605EW0
Hello, Thank you for your question. You will want to check into the door latch and the knobs that you use to operate the machine. The lock will not allow the unit to start is there is a short or it is not reading the door is closed. That is part#PS12704713. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair.

I just replaced the lid lock on my washer. Now that that is in it wont fill lid lock light wont come on. Do i have to unlock them when there new?
For model number NTW4605EW0
Hello Brian, thank you for your question. Yes, It is possible that the latch was engaged in the lock position and not allowing the strike to enter the latch assembly. If you disconnect the lock from the control while the unit is turned off, you can test the lock to see if it is in the locked state. If you test the blue wire to the white wire for resistance, if it reads 0 ohms then it is in the locked state. If it reads infinite, then the lock is in the open position. This will help to identify if the lock is in the locked position. If it is in the locked position contact customer service to return the part and a new latch should be ordered. I hope this helps.

Agitator removal tool
For model number NTW4605EW0
Hello Kelly, Thank you for the question. There would be no special Tool needed for removing the Agitator. You will need to remove the Dispenser cap on the top of the agitator and expose the bolt underneath. You will just need to remove the bolt and then pull up on the agitator to remove. It may take a bit of force. We hope this helps!

For model number NTW4605EW0
Hello Lalo and thank you for writing.
It certainly sounds like a faulty pulley PS10057144 and/or belt PS11747978 you should check for signs of damage, and replace it if needed. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.
Well, first investigated and found loose nut on drive clutch. First take off the two screws with nut drive then cover off using a screwdriver blade to snap off the cover. Then socket ratchet to take off the nut on drive clutch. take off belt by slowly rotating the drive gear. two screws that hold the electronics to the upper drive clutch and put aside, so you can snap off the cover for drive clutch on upper part with screwdriver and off the parts come and install whole unit back as took it apart. Line up the new upper clutch so that is position as was before. (Using parts diagram helps a lot as www. partsselect.com has for you or Maytag.com.) Then put the electronic part board back on and the gear and nut. Make sure it is tight by several attempts to make sure it's snugged up good and then slowly roll belt back on the pulley and motor drive. Put your cover guard back on with two screws and done.
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.
