2048 - Instructions

I watched the instructional video on how to take apart and how to take washer a part and how to install the direct drive water pump. It was very easy to do. also the delivery was very fast. I will be using the site to fix other appiances that I have that is sitting around broken. Thanks for your speedy service and customer service.

It was the first time I ever ordered parts online or even attempted to repair a washer. You all have made finding and ordering the right part very easy. Read more e needed to remove the water pump, just two clips held it on. I put the new pump on, hooked up the water and washed a load that night.

I followed the you tube instructions. The hardest part was realigning the washer housing on the lower frame.

Frist I removed the two water hoses going to the pump. Second releaseed the two clips holding the pump , it came right off the motor shaft.
Third, put the new pump on the shaft, put the clips on last the hoses good to go.

laid washer on side, used butter knife to pry off spring clips. there is just enough room to get pump off the shaft .Unhook two hoses then install new pump.

I propped the unit on its side, then I removed the intake and discharge hose with pliers (remember to have a bucket handy for the extra water in the hoses.)
Secondly, there are two clips on the top and bottom of the pump which hold the unit snug against the motor. These simply pop off with your hand or a screwdriver (be careful to sa ... Read more ve these!) Now the pump should slide off the drive shaft easily but most likely it will not due rusting of the shaft. A pry bar or large screwdriver and some elbow grease will get the pump to slide off.
Installation is the reverse except you will have to sand off the rust on the shaft. Sand paper will do but I used a Dremel type grinder (die grinder) which made easy work of removing the rust. Finally, sliding the new pump in is remarkably easy.
Installation of the new pump should take less than 10 minutes with a clean driveshaft.

I read the trouble shooting guide on your web sight to figure out what the problem was and after checking the hoses the pump seemed the next most likely problem. Read more locked it from falling and removed the part while waiting for the new one to arrive.Once it arrived it only took a few minutes to install.When I tried the washer it still leaked water,so I tipped it back up to check it out.The only thing that was wrong was that the spring hose clamps had not seated yet so I moved them around and wiggled the hoses to try and get them tighter.The next time ,it worked fine.The other reviews and trouble shooting guide were a great help!

I disconnected the washer from the water supply lines.turned the washer on it's back. took two hoses off the water pump.Unsnapped two spring clip's.Took the old pump off and installed the new pump.That is all there was to it.

the hard part was getting the pump off of the rusted centerpeice. i actually had to grab the pump with both hands, put my feet on the rotator and PULL. finally it basically snapped off and rusted peices went flying. after cleaning it the new pump went on rather easily, with the help of a rubber mallet.

The new pump arrived at my door just a few days after it was shipped.

Once I got the water hoses off and the clips holding the pump I had to use a large screwdriver to get the pump off the motor shaft. I then tried putting the new pump on but it wouldn't fit. I noticed that the motor shaft was flaired out (possibly due to r ... Read more ust) so I used a Dremel Tool with a grinding disk to carefully grind down the shaft to what it looked like it was supposed to be. Once that was done the pump easily slipped into place. I attached the pump clamps and hoses and pushed the washer back into place. I ran a quick test and then later a load of laundry. No more leaks!

The repair went fine and the U - Tube video was very helpful. However, the putty knife under the front corners to release a spring clip was not accurate to release the console. Our Roper had two philips head screws on each corner of the back of the console that had to be removed to allow the console to slide back and off its clips. The ... Read more n the housing of the machine (sides and front) was not coming off as described. However, after measuring I determined that the water pump had enough clearance to be removed without the housing of the machine being removed. So, the repair was even simpler than described.

Removed water supply hoses and took drain hose out of drain. Unplugged electrical cord. Turned washer over to see and reach pump easily. Flipped clips holding water pump. Moved hose clamps back on inlet and outlet hoses. Wiggled hoses off pump. Placed new pump and flipped clips back in place. Wiggled hoses back onto pump ports and replace ... Removed the four screws from the control housing. Disconnect wire to machine housing. Remove the two clips connecting the machine housing to the back. Remove washing machine housing. Pump is located right in front. Disconnect hoses, remove and replace pump, reconnect hoses. Replace the machine housing. This was the hardest part if all try ... Read more ing to reinstall the housing.Once you get the machine housing in place correctly, put everything back together. You just saved about $125 in fifteen minutes.

First, we took the pump off and found that it was leaking. Ordered the part on line. The part arrived in four days as scheduled. The small pump was easy to replace with screwdriver and pliars.
