Magic Chef Dishwasher Rack Track Stop

The rack track stop on your dishwasher is designed to stop the dish rack at the appropriate place when opening and closing the rack. If your dishwasher is not cleaning your dishes properly, the rack stop may need to be replaced. The replacement part may differ slightly from the broken part, depending on the model. However, the different styles are interchangeable. This product is sold individually and comes in both a white and grey plastic version. Many of our customers found this repair to be very easy and takes less than 30 minutes to complete. Simply snap the old part out and snap the new part into place. You will not require any tools to complete the job. This is an authentic part approved by the manufacturer.

Upper rack wheels had begun to break off. Shoddy design and materials.
I carefully followed the video instructions step by step. They were detailed, clear, and pointed out how to avoid installation mistakes. WIthout the video I would have been tempted to just figure it out myself - ("Hey, I'm a handy guy. How hard could it be, right?"). With the video I sailed right through with no dumb errors. The new rack adjuster wheel set is much sturdier than the Whirlpool original. It made sense to get new rack stops at the same time. Thank you, PartSelect.

Magic Chef Dishwasher Upper Dishrack Track
Now it's like new....!!
My wife is so happy
Removed the track end caps from the tracks so I could pull out the tracks.
Removed the upper wash rack that holds dishes.
Only by removing this rack can the wheels be replaced, if I tried to replace them with the rack attached to the dishwasher I had to bend forward painfully.
Replace the old rales with new ones.
Attach new wheels to the upper rack in such a way as to allow the rack to roll inside the new rales.
Replace the end caps.

Replaced both "tracks" and the "wheels" .Now it's like new....!!

The gray upper dishrack kit is a replacement for select dishwasher models. It securely holds dishes, cups, and utensils during the wash cycle. This kit does not come pre-assembled, so some parts from the original rack may need to be transferred. If your dishwasher does not have an adjustable rack, you will need to reuse the rollers from your old rack. Adjustable rollers may prevent proper alignment with the rear feed tube. This updated version may look slightly different from the original but functions the same. please note this is only the dishrack.

Replaced old dish racks that had rusted and had broken tines.
Took the old wheels, and other parts from the old racks and installed them on the new. The wheels on the lower rack just snap on. Also the folding tines just snapped on. On the upper rack the brackets that hold the wheels have two screws that hold the bracket. I removed them and then installed the bracket on the new rack in the same position as on the old one. The only hard part was getting the old spray arm off the old rack. I had no directions so I had to figure it out for myself. I finally cut the the old rack to get the pressure tower off. It was stuck because of having been in place for more than ten years. Putting the tower and the arm on the new rack was no problem once I had it removed. Total time to do the job about 45 minutes.

Magic Chef Dishwasher Silverware Basket

This silverware basket has eight sections and is all white in color. It is also made of plastic and has a built-in handle on either side so that you can quickly and easily remove it from the dishwasher. The basket is used to hold utensils in the dishwasher and secure them in place while the dishwasher is running. This part may bend, warp, or break over time and will need to be replaced. Old shelf rack and silverware basket (yellowed & stained)
Removed the old dishrack shelf by taking off the end caps. A screw driver was used to release the plastic end caps. The old dishrack shelf is now able to just roll out and the new shelf is rolled in and the old end caps replaced. Quick and easy plus it makes the dish machine look new. The new silverware basket requires no tools just replace the old one.

Latch and rack stop broken
I removed the 11 torx screws which hold the cover in place. Then I had to remove the electrical connectors from the old switch (a flat head screwdriver or something else to break the connection helps). The new one plugged right in, and was back into place in minutes. The rack stop was just a remove and replace. Extremely easy!!
