This is a replacement ice maker kit, it is used in the freezer section of your refrigerator. This particular model will produce seven round or crescent shaped cubes every cycle. The ideal temperature of a freezer is zero degrees Fahrenheit. If the temperature in your freezer is at an appropriate level and ice is still not being made it could be an issue with the water inlet valve or your ice maker assembly. If you determine it is the ice maker, this is the replacement you need. This kit includes a set of installation instructions, a 4-pin round plug-in connector, 6 post plug-in connector, tube and fill cup. Before you start this repair, you should shut off the water supply and unplug your appliance. Please note, when you have installed your new ice maker it can take up to 24 hours for it to begin producing ice.

The icemaker control assembly is located in the freezer section of your refrigerator. It is what controls the icemaker. The control turns the timing cams and the ejector blades. It controls most of the basic parts and functions, such as the heater, the water inlet valve, the cube size, and cube ejection. This replacement includes the control module and the motor, the motor is not sold separately. There are a number of reasons you might need to replace this part: if the motor is faulty, if any of the gears are worn out, or any of the plastic pieces are broken or damaged. If your icemaker is not functioning properly, you should start by testing this module. Before you begin repairing your refrigerator, make sure it is unplugged.

This part is a solenoid-operated switch located at the bottom of the refrigerator. When the water inlet valve is turned on, water is released from the supply line through the water valve and into the compact icemaker mold. The kit includes the mounting hardware and bracket plastic tubing fittings. The retaining nut must be cut off the plastic water line and gently pushed into the new valve.
