Aged parts broken
After sitting in a cold refrigerator for year after year, plastic becomes brittle and breaks. This is what started happening to my shelves and door bins. The problem a lot of times is getting the right part since some of the parts do not have numbers.

This website gives a accurate description and best of all photos on an inch grid, so I can measure what I have and find what I need. This time everything was perfect and fit easily. took no time and just like that I have almost double the space again. Funny how that works. Once before I didn't get the right piece so just pay attention to the dimensions.

This refrigerator water filter housing is a key component of the appliance’s water and ice dispensing system. It securely holds the water filter in place and connects it to the water supply lines, ensuring clean, filtered water is delivered through the dispenser and to the ice maker. The housing features two push-in fittings—one for 1/4-inch tubing and another for 5/16-inch tubing—allowing for straightforward installation. Common symptoms of a failing housing include water leakage, a non-functioning dispenser, or an ice maker that fails to produce or dispense ice. Replacing a damaged housing restores proper filtration and water flow, helping maintain the performance and hygiene of your refrigerator.

This water filter bypass cap, also known as a water filter bypass plug, is an authentic OEM part that replaces the regular water filter cartridge in refrigerators. It allows water to flow freely through the dispensing system when the filter is not present. The bypass can fail if it becomes clogged, cracked, or falls out of alignment. A faulty filter bypass will result in leaking, poor ice production, and difficulties dispensing water. You can find the filter bypass inside the refrigerator, near the water filter housing. Disconnect the water supply lines and remove the faulty bypass. Insert the new bypass in its place and reconnect the water supply lines.

Water filter assy was broken and leaking
The repair was fairly easy, just unscrewed the lower back panel and removed the ice maker hoses. the pulled the hoses out of the interior and replaced with new hoses. After running the water for a few moments, all is well and our family has ice and filtered water again. However, be careful when you are moving the fridge out of it's original space because the kitchen floor vinal ripped and now I have to replace the kitchen floor. What would have cost me about $40 to repair is now going to cost me much more.
