This inner door glass is a heat resistant part that fits into a stove, oven, wall oven, cooktop, or range as the inner glass panel of the appliance door. The glass panel allows you to see the items being cooked or heated in the appliance. Handle with caution and be sure to use gloves, as the door is heavy and the glass is breakable. Do not replace the glass until the appliance is cool to the touch. This genuine manufacturer part is approximately 20 inches by 10 inches. The inner glass door is sold individually and contains the glass panel only.

Broke the glass panel inside the oven door -- dropped a baking dish on the glass!
Easily removed the door from the oven by releasing clips attached to the door hinge -- very nicely engineered. Removed about 6 philips head screws to allow the door assembly to be taken apart for access to the glass. Lifted out the broken glass, cleaned the inside of the door, installed the new glass, reassembled the door (a two minute project), and reattached the door to the oven. Cleaning the inside of the door took longer than the actual repair! Read more...

This inner door glass is used in ranges. It creates a transparent heat barrier inside your oven door. For this installment, the only tool needed is a #2 Phillips screwdriver. To repair, first remove the oven door from the range by lifting and pulling from the bottom of the hinges. To dissemble the door, you will need to remove the screws on the outer edge and remove the side pieces. There are also screws towards the middle that need to be removed to pull out the bottom trim. Next, lay the door on its back and slide outer door glass off and remove top trim. For the rest of the installation instructions refer to the manual provided by the manufacturer. Pro tip: remember to wait until the surface is cool before starting this repair project.

Inside door glass broke
I removed the oven door by lifting it off with the hinges. Disassembled the door parts one at time making sure I remember where I removed the screws until I am able to get to the broken glass. The most difficult part is making sure that the insulation strip & the gasket stayed in place after I replaced the broken glass & doing the reverse process of installing the parts together. Relatively easy process as long as you remember where the parts go. When in doubt, I had to refer to the pictorial of the disassembled door shown on your website. Read more...

This inner oven door glass, also called an oven heat barrier glass, is a transparent and heat resistant sheet of glass that fits into your oven or range. While containing the heat, the sheet of glass acts like a window so you can see the contents in the oven. This is an original part sourced directly from the genuine manufacturer. Wait to replace the glass until the appliance is cool to the touch. This part is sold individually, and contains the glass panel only. Glass panel is approximately 20 inches by 13 inches.

Cracked oven door inner glass
Repair was quite easy, as long as you have the instructions for removing the door. The screws that hold the bottom of the door to the fixed hinge are placed into the side of the hinge assembly after removal; this holds the door at a 45 degree angle for easy removal. After that, just place the door on a flat surface and dismantle the door from the inside. The inner glass is contained in a metal frame with another piece of glass; this frame comes apart easily using the clips in each side. The door assembles easily after the glass is replaced; just take your time and give yourself enough room to lay out the parts as you go. Good luck! Read more...

Something in oven exploded and stained glass so couldn’t see what’s baking
Ordered window pack from PartSelect then removed oven door from front of stove, then removed back of door and silver backing and glass pack. Dropped new glass into place. Replaced all backing, put door back onto stove. Tip. When removing screw keep them separated from each other as not to get mixed up when putting everything together. Good Luck, PartSelect has all the parts you need, this my second getting a part from them. Read more...

This part is the replacement inner oven door glass for your oven. It is made of glass and is approximately 16 inches wide and 7 inches long. This part is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Internal glass broke on the oven door
All the was needed was a Phillips screw driver. It's not difficult. Watch out because the door is spring loaded and does seperate quickly after all the screws are out. Be sure to watch the front panel, it appears to be heavy glass and can come out of the slots during the repair. I only had to re-assemble and dis-assemble 4 times before I got it right but it's still fairly easy to do if you take your time. Read more...

Unfortunately, you must replace the whole door. It was only a matter of removing 6 screws but sliding the door back on was a little tricky. Still, it beat calling a repair man and the item came in 3 business days. The part fit exactly right. Read more...

Inner window on my Frigidaire electric stove oven cracked
On this website, I found an instruction manual for this stove. There were 2 pages about how to change the glass on the oven door, including diagrams. I'd also checked a generic youtube video on changing inner glass on oven doors too, although the hinges in the youtube demo weren't exactly like those in mine. I printed out the instructions, checked the oven door to make sure the hinges looked like those in the diagrams, set aside a couple of hours on a free day with no other distractions, and did the job. I just kept removing screws from the inside oven door, peeling back the layers of the onion, until I got to the innermost glass, which was cracked. Put the new glass in, put it back together. On youtube the guy said it would take 20 minutes. It took me about an hour. Saved a ton of money by doing it myself. Read more...

Oven Door Inner Glass Broken
This is fairly easy for anyone to do. First I opened up the front (silver part) of the oven door by removing the screws at the top and the bottom. Then I kept on removing the various layers of glass... the 2 outside ones are removed by removing their respective screws and then you get to the inner-most. These 2 inner ones are in a frame that holds them together. I removed the large silver frame that holds the insulation and the 2-glass-frame in it. Just remove the screws and then tilt the insulation frame out a bit to remove the glass frame. You can tilt the entire insulation holder out but the insulation is soft and it starts to fall off. Just tilting it enough worked for me. Then I opened up the glass frame from one end, removed the left-over broken piece of the old glass pane and installed the new one in. Then reassemble. The entire process is very easy - but you will need another person for a few minutes when you remove /reinstall the glass frame inside the insulation holder. You would just need a little help holding everything... nothing technical. I would rate the repair technicality at 4 or 5/10. It could even be a 3 if there were less steps involved. Good luck! By the way, Amana/Maytag wanted $70 or so for the glass and then the repair fee. I got the part here for about $50. Read more...

Broken inner door glass
I removed all the screws attaching the inner liner to the door, then removed the broken glass. I did this before ordering the replacement glass so I could be sure that only one piece was broken -- the door contains four pieces of glass in all. After the replacement glass arrived (really fast delivery!), I cleaned all the parts and reassembled the door. I had some difficulty in aligning the screw holes properly, and I'm still not sure if I have the exterior sheet of glass positioned correctly -- the schematic shows the order in which the parts go together but not how they fit exactly. I should have inspected the door more closely before I took it apart. Anyway, it feels solid and everything seems to work. Read more...

Replace shattered outer door glass
This is not the best design. You'll need to have an extra set of hands to hold the trim pieces in place. Remember the glass is positioned outside [on top of]the trim pieces. Be careful as the trim pieces are rather brittle and can be hard to locate in their proper position. Position glass in the holding tabs at the bottom, hold glass against the trim pieces and gently position door handle over glass and trim. The handle holds everything together. No instructions are shipped w/ parts. Read more...
