This inner door glass is used in ranges. It creates a transparent heat barrier inside your oven door. For this installment, the only tool needed is a #2 Phillips screwdriver. To repair, first remove the oven door from the range by lifting and pulling from the bottom of the hinges. To dissemble the door, you will need to remove the screws on the outer edge and remove the side pieces. There are also screws towards the middle that need to be removed to pull out the bottom trim. Next, lay the door on its back and slide outer door glass off and remove top trim. For the rest of the installation instructions refer to the manual provided by the manufacturer. Pro tip: remember to wait until the surface is cool before starting this repair project.

Inside door glass broke

I removed the oven door by lifting it off with the hinges. Disassembled the door parts one at time making sure I remember where I removed the screws until I am able to get to the broken glass. The most difficult part is making sure that the insulation strip & the gasket stayed in place after I replaced the broken glass & doing the reverse process of installing the parts together. This pane of glass is the innermost piece of glass on your oven door. If you notice that the inner door glass on your oven is damaged, you will need to replace it. This part is made entirely of glass. It is approximately 18.5 inches in length and 12.5 inches in width. To complete this repair, it is easiest to remove the entire door from the oven and set it on a more suitable work surface. You will require a small flat blade screwdriver and either a #3 Phillips screwdriver or a #2 square head screwdriver to complete this repair. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. This part is sold individually.

Replace outer over glass/SS door

The web site was easy to navagate and locate the correct part. The part was in stock and shipped the next day and was delivered in 3 or 4 days. All total the replanement was less than a week. The replacement was easy except it took a second person to hold the glass in place while i threaded the hold down screws fron underneath. I could not hold the glass and thread the small screws with just my two hands, plus having to thread the screws from the bottom was more difficult, but all in all it was simple and now we have a new unbroken glass front oven door. Replace shattered outer door glass

This is not the best design. You'll need to have an extra set of hands to hold the trim pieces in place. Remember the glass is positioned outside [on top of]the trim pieces. Be careful as the trim pieces are rather brittle and can be hard to locate in their proper position. Position glass in the holding tabs at the bottom, hold glass against the trim pieces and gently position door handle over glass and trim.The handle holds everything together.
