How would the upper agitator interfere with agitation? Mine is not broke. I’ve changed the hub kit, no luck. Would the lower part of the agitator need replacing? The machine spins great
For model number WTW4855HW1
Hi Cindy,
Thank you for your question. If your washer is not agitating, the upper agitator is one part that you will need to check. There are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will also need to check the drive pulley, the shift actuator, the drive block, the door lock assembly and the washplate. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

I was able to put the hub in place and screw the screws in. you want to tighten them down slowly and go around to each screw tightening a little at a time so you don't break the hub. as you tighten the screws down the hub slides down flush. its impossible to just push the hub on with your hand. This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.
