AS21 - Instructions

I did not do the repair yet, there is no schematic on how to route the hose; also no description of how to do the routing/connections.

Disconnect plug from wall. Insert putty knife between light switch.and trim panel , apply pressure to depress plastic spring holding switch in place. Apply a slight twist too putty knife releasing switch from trim piece. This wil expose plug connected to switch. Disconnect plug from switch. Connect new switch to plug. Insert switch into ... use kitchen knife to pry out. replaced switch assemble and pressed back into place. Could not have done this with out help from previous customers. Thanks

The instructions in the package were not helpful. They wanted me to cut the wiring harness and described where to cut based on the wire colors. My wires were not the same color! I removed the light mechanism using a combination of a screwdriver, putty knife, and plain old muscle with my fingers! The wiring harness unplugged easily and th ... Read more e new one inserted. It was easy to push the whole assembly back into the door. I spent more time looking for something to cut the wiring harness with (and never did find it) than the whole job actually took without needing to cut anything!

Just as described by others that have left feedback, I removed a total of 4 hex-screws to access the door. Removed the old one and replaced the door. I resecured the front panel and it was done.

Popped out broken switch with blunt flat edged instrument. Disconnected switch from unit . Plugged new piece in and reinserted into side panel of refrigerator. Very easy.

First I removed spill tray. It slipped right out. next I removed the front cover.it had 2 screws hidden by the spill tray. next were the 2 screws holding the selection slider.Under it is 3 more screws after removing them then the assembly will come lose from the refrigerator.Be careful you dont drop the ice door. unplug the assembly. Read more unit over and you will see the limit switch remove and replace it with 1 small phillips screw. remove and replace dispenser actuator pad.replace everything in reverse order.The ice door is the only thing a little tricky.still i replaced ours in about 10 mins.

Removed approx. 5 phillips screws to access the flap from the outside of the freezer door and R & R'd the flap, then repaced the screws. Fairly simple installation. Most impressive was how easy it was to find the part here and the quick delivery.

The switch fix but did not fix the problem. I assumed the wires go on the same way as on the old switch. Is it possible if one light Burns out, the other will not work either?

Removed all screws on back and 4 on front. That part is easy IF you have a Torx of the right size. Slip out the ice bin a bit and replace the drive ring. Reassembly is a bit harder since some internal shift can occur -- rotate or tilt the whole assembly to get two -- I think -- screws started. No need to over tighten screws; snug is good ... I just popped out the old switch with a flat head screwdriver. Removed the connections and then installed new switch by reversing steps. Popped in back in and the light went on.

Removed the screws that held the main ice bin and slid back the bin to leave space behind the auger to remove the broken ring. Replaced with new ring and replaced screws to hold ice bin back in place.

Pried out old part with screwdriver. Unplugged. When new part came, just plugged it in and pushed the part into place.
