ACO15 - Instructions

I didn't do the repair -- my husband did, said it was easy, had no problems what so ever! The new bulbs give a lot more light to the cooking area.

1. Removed unit from the cabinet. (2 screws). 2. Remove the outer microwave metal shell. (10 screws). 3. Locate and remove part. (3 screws). 4. Install new part and replace all screws. 5. Install unit back into cabinet. So easy. I will share this site with all of my friends.

I simply went on line to Part Select, placed my order, made payment, and was astonished to see the package with a new dish sitting on my doorstep the next day.Great service.

hardest part was taking the microwave down off of the wall to gain access to the diode. Thought if was the transformer but ended up being just a blown diode. remove and replace and bench test. that part took 15 minutes . moral of the story don't boil water under the side of the microwave that holds the electric components.

I removed the unit from under the cabinet and placed on a counter. I removed the metal covering. I then removed the defective part. The exploded views contained on the site were really helpful and instructive. I then put the unit back in place and powered it back up.

Ordered the switches from Partselect, arrive in two days. Had trouble removing the plastic connectors from the old switch terminals, one of the plastic protectors broke, but was able to reuse it. It took a little figuring out how to remove the existing switches. Must push in a tab and rotate the switch on a little pin, then remove. Must b ... Read more e careful not to break the plastic tabs holding the switches in place. Replaced all (3) switches at the same time. All in all it was pretty easy.

Since others reported similar problems and it was just the fuse we tried that first. That wasn't the problem so we ordered the Door Interlock Switch Kit. Shipping was very fast! Removed the old seal tape, took the door apart and cleaned the glass. Put the door back together and replaced the seal tape with the new seal and it looks like new. Watched a video on line on how to take apart the microwave door and it was very easy.

Due to the way the appliance was installed, it was impossible to get to the outer vent grille mounting screws. My husband was finally able to pry the grille cover off with a screwdriver. I was finally able to clean the grille cover and replace the filter. The grille cover no longer fits as tightly as it should because part of it broke ... Read more off, but it will do. The builder did not consider maintenance when installing the appliance.

The door was not engaging the micro switches properly no doubt from 10+ years of wear. The upper switch removed fairly easily but take care not to tweak the plastic brace too much or it will snap. The lower one was the tricky one. After much examination I noticed that the trick to remove it was underneath the brace. Take a butter knife (n ... Read more o joke) and insert it just under the old micro switch and gently press down twisting the micro switch every so slightly til it releases. The replacements snap back in with no trouble. The microwave is working much better now, though not perfect.

Information provided on the web site by Part Select, were helpful and encouraging to select and buy the part needed to repair the appliance. No doubt, a skilled person having background in the repair of appliances should attend such repair job.

remove 4 screws from top, front louvered panel snaps out. remove 1 screw from top of keypad, keypad pivot's forward and can be removed. There is a white mounting bracket inside left. Remove two screws, one top and one bottom, bracket lifts up and out. 3 sets wires are attached, mark them with masking tape, top, center, bottom and pull out ... Read more plugs. They can only attach one way. Using a very small screw tip, lift plastic latch from switch, it rotates out and is removed from the pivot pin. reassemble in reverse order after switches are replaced
