Followed the instructions that came with replacement ice maker...was very clear and easy to follow and only took 5 minutes. I also watched the video sent via email with my order confirmation which was very well done and easy to follow. The only information that would have helped would have been a note to wait over-night for the ice maker

to make ice as I thought I did something wrong when it wasn't making ice right away....waited until morning and had lots of ice. If I knew how straight forward and easy this was, I would have done it a lot sooner.

I loosened the 2 1/4 inch nuts with a nut driver, disconnected the wire harness, and removed the old unit. to replace, I simply connected the harness and bolted the unit back in. The job took about 10 to 15 minutes and the new unit works better than the old one ever did.

Ordered ice maker, watch video of how to. It takes less than 5 min. Installes just like the video. Loosen 2 1/4" Screws, lift ice maker up, unplug old unit, Reverse. Just make sure water tube is lined up when you install new unit and wire is tucked up out of the way. Mine did not really start making ice till the next day.

The repair took only 5 minutes. I removed the ice bin, which just slides out, then loosened 2 screws at the back-top of the ice maker. I then unplugged the broken ice maker, removed it, put in the new one, re-tightened the screws and plugged it in. It was making ice within an hour.

installed new ice maker. Was very esay - the only problem I had was the length of the wire, due to the need to use the adapter, was hard to menauver around so that it didn't contact the bottom of the ice maker. Would be best if it was configured so that you had the right wire connection and didn't have to use the adaptor.

The service man that I hired to fix my Ice maker removed the broken one. This is how I saw how easy it was to install. When the new one arrived all I had to do was plug it in then tighten 2 screws with the right size nut driver. This was the hardest part of the install havng the right tool for the job. Now I have Ice!

The first issue was to determine if the problem was with the ice maker or the water dispenser / pump. I chose to try to repair the dispenser first since there air bubbles in the plastic line. Also, the ice maker seems to have been working. There just wasn't enough water so the ice cubes were hollow.

I pulled the valve out and disconnected it from the internal power source. I disconnected the copper water intake and the plastic tubbing to the ice maker. I used a pipe cutter to take the old flanged area off. A new flange was included in the package. I used that and reconnected the copper intake and the plastic tubbing. I replaced the power source and secured the valve to the refrigerator makeing sure the plastic tubbing wasn't twisted. When I plugged the refrigator back up, the ice maker started working within five minutes.

The old water valve leak required me to purchase this new complete part. After shutting off the water supply, disconnect the supply line, take out the old water valve by disconnecting the "plug" from the refrigerator, and disconnect the plastic water line going into the ice maker. Then just reconnect the new water valve by plugging it i

nto the 2 pronged receptacle, note to be sure to write down which wire goes into which input when disconnecting the old valve. Then hand tighten the plastic tube into the valve. Next attach your water supply line into the new water valve, tighten this supply line as you would any plumbing supply line with a couple of adjustable wrenches and some teflon tape at the connection. I would also recommend at this point, if the compression fitting on your supply line was like mine a bit old, to spend a couple bucks on a new fitting and put that on the supply line, since you don't want to worry about it being a good seal at the supply line point, once the repair is done. After checking for "no leaks" reattach everything to the rear of the refrigerator (make a note of the attachment before taking out the old valve) and see if your ice maker starts to make some ice. You will hear the valve feeding the water to the icemaker if all is properly setup.
