6100 - Instructions

I removed the one sheet metal screw holding the valve to the side of the fridge. I unhooked the water line, reinstalled the waterline to the new valve and screwed in back to the side of the fridge with the sheet metal screw.

Thank you for the easy to install video. I do much better hands on repair than reading the instructions. It was supper easy and it works great. My 11 year old son said to me "WOW mom great job" since I did it myself! I will definitley use you again for any other parts I need.

Turned off main water line at frig. disconnected water line. Lossened 1 screw- removed old unit and cut the two water lines going to the ice and water outlets. Pushed the water lines into the quick connects of the new unit --reconnected the water line-- rescrewed the unit to frig. turn on water . it was fixed.

Take off cover plate. two screws. Take out three screws holding the bracket. Exchange the parts from old bracket to the new bracket. reinstall the bracket and cover.

I had previously ordered the solenoid and door kit. The instructions were very well done. The pictures were a bit blurred but have been recopied several times however were adequate to see approximates on where things were. Read more ork with the spring a little, I should have paid more attention to how many times to wrap it for the correct tension. However the solenoid was not the problem. There was intermittent operation from the solenoid when I would jiggle the pc board. Probably has a bad solder joint on the board. I ordered a new board, it took only 10 minutes to replace it since I was familiar with taking the housing loose. Put it all back together and it's working great. There was no drawing or instructions with the pc board but there were in the solenoid kit I had gotten first.
I do highly recommend Parts Select. Parts were shipped promptly. Matter of fact when I ordered the pc board early on Monday. I received it Tuesday afternoon with just ground delivery.

The round sealing door of the ice chute had to be replaced a alignment tab broke off the side.
1) unplugged the appliance from its receptacle.
2) removed catch tray at bottom of ice water depenser exposing two screws.
3) removed screws and slid cover up and away from keyed studs.

5) removed additional screws and lifted the chute door and solenoid assemble.
6) replaced components and reassembled in reverse order.

The repair went just as the short video showed. The paper instructions included with the part were not too good the photos were copies of copies from years ago with all the detail gone. But with the video on your website it was a snap for anyone with some mechanical skills.

I just follow the easy instructions on the video provided for the part in question. Easy to change and everything is working fine

I researched the stories on Partsselect, and it looked like this would be a simple repair. Fortunately, it was more simple than I'd thought. We bought the house (and stove) used, and the ignitor apparently had been replaced before, because the part was an EXACT replacement for the old one. Read more d ignitor onto the bracket/burner, pulled the wiring from the back of the oven through the insulation, disconnected the snap connector, reattached the new one. Then I pushed the wiring back through the insulation and added some additional insulation (provided with the part), making sure all extra length was pushed into the insulation. Reattached with two screws using a nut driver, replaced the bottom pan in the oven, slid the door back on its two hinges and started it up. Works perfectly. Thanks Partselect. Replaced with a new one.

The burner was leaking a rust colored dirt and shooting flames all over the place. The top came off and I needed channel-locks to get the bottom half out. The wires were hard to get off and I broke one connector off so I soldered the wire on to the new part which fit the stove top perfectly. It still took less than a half hour to repla ... Chose rubber flexible gasket with metal tabs. cut to size. unscrewed metal bracket on inside oven edge on 3 sides, slipped metal tabs between oven and metal and screwed back in. Done! Not a perfect fit but pretty good - better than no gasket.

I pretty much did the repair the same way the video described it. I first turned off the gas valve and disconnected the power. Then removed the two screws holding in the burner tube and removed it. Then I unplugged the old igniter. The screws were a bit corroded so I gave them a little spray of liquid wrench. They came right out them. Aft ... Read more er removing them I replaced the igniter plugged it in. Then I put the wire through the hole in the wall of the oven. Replaced the insulation that was included in the kit. Replaced the burner tube on the venture. And reinstalled the screws. It was pretty cut and dry. The glow plug had the burner fired up in 15 seconds.

Access is via RT. SIDE Panel as you face microwave. There are three screws on the bottom right edge to loosen. After that the side panel slips down and off. the fuse is located in the rear near where the power cord comes in. It is the white ceramic tube 1/4" in dia. and 1-1/2" long.
