Dishes were not coming clean and water was not draining from the dishwasher. Put in new part, and problem still existed. Went and bought a new dishwasher. However during the replacement I found the old dishwasher pump was also clogged with old gel packs, and the water hose was clogged with pipe debris. After clearing the pipe buildup,

and replacing the dish washer, all is well. I was hoping the repair would have gone better, had I known the pump was clogged beyond repair I would have replaced the dishwasher sooner. The main issue was the clogged water hose, which caused all of the other issues. I would have loved for the $50 in parts to have fixed my existing dishwasher, unfortunately we didn't correct the problem before ruining the old dishwasher, a $350 mistake...

We watched the very excellent video on this web site for replacing the Accumulator Filter and followed the instructions it provided. It's possible that we could have just cleaned our existing accumulator filter once we understood what it was and how to get to it, but the results of replacing it have been dramatic. It's like a new dishwash

Followed video. Everything went together fine, but leaked water around motor shaft seal. Read comments section on video and someone had the same problem. I had pushed the seal into base too deep. I pulled it out and reseated it. It worked without leaking after that. Bob

Routine repair. There are videos on the net that show exactly how to replace the filter unit. However, when you order the filter, order a replacement pump impeller. The impeller must be removed to remove the filter on this model. The impeller was stuck on the shaft, and I had to destroy it with the side cutter pliers to get it off. B

efore putting the new one on, clean the pump shaft thoroughly and lube the shaft with silicon lube or vaseline jelly. Clean the bottom of the water pan thoroughly, then reassemble. Then pour one cup of vinegar in the bottom of the dishwasher and run it with no dishes. This will clean the inside of the dishwasher.

Time is finally taking its toll on our 9 year old Maytag dishwasher. As parts give out we replace them from Parts Select - repairs have been very simple and straightforward and have kept this workhorse plodding along in my kitchen. This year the silverware basket bottom finally gave out and I ordered one on Parts Select...unfortunately

it was out of stock, at Parts Select and EVERYWHERE else. I limped along using the basket thinking I probably wouldn't be able to replace it given the age of the dishwasher. I was completely delighted when I got and email from Parts select saying the basket was in stock and would be shipped right away. It was a simple switch out! Parts Select, thanks for keeping this on order and following through when it was available!

I initially took everything out and cleaned everything with the shop vac, and outside with the garden hose. That did not work, so I looked on parts select for a new accumulator filter, as I was not able to clean that very well. To install the new filter, I removed the sliding racks, top and bottom, and the water manifold, then removed t

he lower wash arm, then the parts under that, the filter plate, the outlet, the impeller, all the way to the accumulator filter. After removing that, installation was the reverse. I also cleaned the middle washing arm, and the lower, as I noticed food particles blocking the outer holes. All is good now, and the dishwasher, which we use almost every day, is working fine.

I watched the youtube video and followed the steps. The first time I tried it without taking the motor out because I didn't want to spill water on the floor, but I wasn't able to tighten the new motor shaft all the way so nothing lined up and it didn't work. Second time I followed instructions exactly and it worked like a charm. This i

s the second repair I have made to this dishwasher that was given to me for free because the door latch was broken. I fixed that problem for around $12.00. This time it broke because something metal got jammed in the motor causing the threaded shaft to strip. This repair cost around $80.00. Still the cheapest, nicest dishwasher that I could ask for. A+++ for partselect.com on price, service, and delivery. Thanks.
