Followed video to remove impeller, motor, seal and chopper. Replaced per video. Decided to replace motor gasket to ensure no future leaks. Everything went really smooth and no longer have the noise when running the dishwasher. The only pain was working around the door.

In order to clean the screen I had to remove the impeller. Removal required using a wheel puller. I backed off on the impeller screw but left it attached so that the wheel puller could pry against it. I then tightened the puller enough to free the impeller. I was then able to unscrew and remove the screen for cleaning.

Very, very difficult repair! First I had to order a new basket online - there is only one basket offered so I chose that one. Had to wait two whole days before it was delivered. Never thought I was going to get the darned box open! Had to lift the broken basket out and inserted the new one. Whew! When you're 73 years old, you are just ha

After disassembling accumulator assembly looking for reasons that washer not washing properly, I noticed accumulator filter had failed. The plastic (or whatever material it is) covering the holes was torn in a couple of different holes. Realizing that this was not the reason for the loss of pressure I investigated a little more and found

that water arm going into the docking station was extremely worn with much play. Water pressure was compromised because of it. I replaced filter and docking station and now its like a new dishwasher again. Saved a dishwasher from the landfill!

This couldn't have been easier. After unsnapping the docking station from the dishwasher, I aligned the two flapper valves that come with the unit and pressed them into place. I then pushed the new unit into place by pushing first on the left side and then the right until it clicked into place.
I looked at the old one and found that ... Read more one flapper was gone and the gaskets were deteriorated. What made the whole process easier was buying from PartSelect. I have bought from them before and will again.

Replace the defective basket with the new one. But I must comment on the speed of delivery. I placed my order in the late afternoon - I selected standard delivery - and was amazed to find the package sitting at my door step the next afternoon! Fantastic!

Took off the small plastic nut -- you can do it with your fingers. If it's too tight, use a pair of pliers.Lift off the old arm, put on the new arm. Very simple. Takes 2 minutes.

when i placed this order i read the comments, while one of them stated this arrived as described. The other comment stated that she did not know how many to order, so she ordered 2 and ended up with 4 split sides. Since she only needed one set she ended up with an unneeded one. I consequently took this advise and ordered one.. where I

The plastic pivot for the folding tines had broken some time ago which allowed the tines to loose and out of control. It was a simple matter to remove the broked pivot which snaps out and snap in the new one. It is designed to be snapped in, in a particular sequence. I had purchased a latch as well just in case the old one had been worn o

Remove mid and bottom rack. The nut on the bottom spray arm can be removed by hand; all screws are T-20; just hold on to the impeller to turn its screw. I keep a T-20 under the sink, which tells you something about how reliable we've found this model! Remove screws as you go down, replace parts as you go back up; assembly is reverse of re

moval, yadda, yadda. Don't miss opportunities to notice how Maytag keeps making small improvements to many of the parts, wonder whether in a few more years of purchasing replacement parts for this thing it will finally stop breaking. My wife informs me that plastic mesh filters like Maytag uses are something she buys for her lab as disposable single use items. We actually had a Bosch on order (metal filters) but I decided to give this unit one more infusion of parts. It's working better now, but I don't know how long it will last before something else gives out.
