Dishrack tine pivot broke when adjusting

This repair did not require tools, but the positioning of the rack supports that the tine pivot holds in place did need to be positioned such that the tine pivot held the supports correctly in place without wiggling. The easiest way to ensure this is done correctly is to look at the other installed tine pivots in the dishrack and ensure the supports have no freedom to move longitudinally after the tine pivot is in place. If the supports can move forward and back freely or will not stay vertical, remove the tine pivot and ensure it is repositioned so the support will not move longitudinally. Have fun!

Calcium build up from our hard water had plugged varous parts of the dishwasher. Dismantling all the parts for cleaning had resulted in my braking the retaining tabs on the upper sprayer arm, that snaps into a plastic clip that attaches to a flat water distribution tube running from the base of the dishwasher up the back and then over the inside top of the compartment. Replacement is literally a snap. Make sure your get good visualizaton of how to remove the various plastic pieces from the metal or plastic clips that secure them to the inner wall of the dishwasher. Don't do the work only by feel; as I tried to do. Positioning your body to get a good look is, at best, awkward

also had to replace heating element. Had to remove dishwasher from under counter to get to heat element. Initial installer used long braided steel water line and plug in electrical connection so removal was easy (10 min). Pulled (2) electrical terminals from heat element and (2) plastic retaining nuts put in new element w/matching nuts,el ement came w/seals. Check for leaks before installing back under counter. Then removed torx screws holding impeller cover and accumulator/filter removed old put in new after good cleaning of course. All is well.

rinse water very dirty leaving crud on dishes

I first ran a cycle of clear glass to verify that there was something wrong. I pulled an exploded parts diagram off the internet to see what parts there were and to give me an idea how everything came apart. I slowly took piece by piece< keeping all screws seperated with the part they belonged with. I set the parts in the order they came out so I knew what way they would have to be returned to the machine. I cleaned and inspected all parts to ensure they were in working order. When I removed the accumulator filter I noticed all the screens were caked with what appeared to be soap scum. I then noticed one of the screens was tore away from the filters body about a half inch long. I decided to order the part(which was a sunday). The part was on my door step by tuesday morning( with standard shipping). I had the part reinstalled in 10 minutes. The hardest part of the whole job was getting all the slats on the filter to line up with the ones on the cover to be screwed onto it. They need to be lined up or the screws will not go in properly, which would be a whole different bag of worms. The job was seriously simple and the ease of ordering and receiving the part made it that much better. Thank you for being a great service to the service industry.

I simply removed everything from the bottom on the inside of the dishwasher, required a philips and torque head bits. removed the chopper that was plastic and replaced it with the new parts that I ordered, the original seal was fine so I left it but I saved the new one so if ever needed, it's available to me. The whole process was extreme ly easy even though it had to be accomplished leaning over the open door and I am an extremely large man, Odd thing though was, I called 2 appliance repair companies and when I explained the symptons, they both told me it was a bad motor and it would be wiser to purchase a new dishwasher. I did my own diagnosis by taking everything encluding the chopper off and putting a piece of ducttape on the motorshaft like a flag, pushed start and then opened the door and to my amazement the flag was spinning, sooooooo, wasn't a bad motor and through further examination, I noticed the threads were stripped out of the plastic chopper, an oversight in the design from Maytag but my parts ordered from this company resolved my issue in a timely manner and expense, Even though $62 seemed a tad high for a part known to be under designed, it was much cheaper than a new dishwasher and made of metal, never to fail again, THANKS PARTS SELECT !!!!!!!! YOU SAVED MY DISHPAN HANDS !!!!!! Yip P.S. I saved their website for futher reference since my whole kitchen has Maytag appliances.
