Microwave Door Handle - Stainless Steel
2. Lift the door off and lay it face down.
3. With a screwdriver pry off the retainer ring around the outside edge of the glass. It is about 2.5 inches wide.
4. Remove the 4 set screws in each corner. Use a magnetic tip screwdriver as the screws are small.
5. With a screwdriver pry off the inner retaining ring.
6. You will then be able access the two screws holding on the old handle and replace with the new. Reassamble in reverse order. Read more...

Door handle broken
1. Removed the cowling/deflector above the door. Push to the left then lift off.2. Lift the door off and lay it face down.

The handle supports on my microwave broke
Once the parts arrived, I pulled off the microwave door and pulled off the plastic trim with a putty knife and then pulled off the glass by unscrewing and pulling off the glass by pulling back the tabs. I unscrewed the broken pieces and screwed on the new supports which I attached to the existing handle

client had a broken microwave handle
Using a thin flatblade screwdriver or pocketknife, gently pry the inside trim from the back of the door. Remove the top and bottom screws, if handle has broken away from door you may need pliers to hold broken plastic in order to remove screws. Next, start both screws into the new handle first, then tighten each one until firm, DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Test handle to make sure there is no movement, then reinstall trim piece to inside of door and you are done. This is a very easy install, but you still want to take your time, so you don't damage the trim piece.

The handle was broken
I had to pop off the facing on the microwave on the inside and then on the outside. On the inside, I used a kitchen knife to carefully pop off the facing. I found the screws that were holding the old handle on. I had to pop the back of the microwave door off to gain access to the other screws for the handles. The outer screws had to be put in place first, making sure that the glass did not slip. The facing needed to be popped back on before the inner screws were tightened. I tightened the inner screws and then popped the facing back on. The thing that took me the longest was figuring out how to pop the facing off and lining up the screws in the handles correctly.

Slide a flathead screwdriver along the inside plastic liner to unclip from the door. Then take a phillips head screwdriver and remove the 2 screws holding the handle of the microwave. Microwave Lower Handle End Cap - Stainless Steel
Repair was pretty straight forward:
1. unclip door wiring harness
2. remove door
3. unscrew door back plate
4. remove spring loaded door latch
5. remove handle by unscrewing handle caps from the back side of the door.
5. remove screw attaching old handle cap(s) from handle and replace with new cap(s)
6. remount handle on door (reverse of step 5). Note that on my unit the handle mounting area on the door was torn away leaving a large hole. I used a large washer to span the hole in the door in order to remount the handle. New doors were not available on this model thus the jerry rig.

Handle fell off due to broken handle end cap/brackets
I ordered new "stainless" upper and lower handle end caps -the caps (brackets) are actually coated plastic, not steel. With age they became brittle and broke resulting in handle coming off unit. Repair was pretty straight forward:
1. unclip door wiring harness
2. remove door
3. unscrew door back plate
