Grill arrived quickly, was easily installed with a Phillips head screwdriver, needed for the two upper screws which most folks don't think about - Hence the need for this part, since the charcoal filter is behind the grill and most people don't think about replacing this. If the microwave exhaust fan is not circulating air properly, there could be an issue with the grease filter. A dirty filter will cause your microwave to run less efficiently and can alter the taste or smell of your food. Filters should be changed every six months for maximum performance. These silver, aluminum filters are sold separately, and are approximately 13 3/8 inches long x 5 7/8 inches wide. Measure your current filter to assure correct replacement. Check your grease filters regularly for particles and grease buildup to see if cleaning is necessary. If there is any visible damage to the filter, it should be replaced straight away.

Dirty Grease Filter
Slide grease filter about 1/2 inch to right (or left) using the d-ring attached to one side and then pull down and out. Push charcoal filter frame slightly to rear and pry down from front. Install new charcoal and grease filters by reversing process. No tools - 5-minutes max!!

This grease filter, used in microwaves, can be located underneath the microwave. The filter traps grease from the exhaust air and removes it from the air stream. This helps prevent grease sticking to the inside of the exhaust hood. Please note that most microwaves require two grease filters and they are both sold separately. Fived the tab in the appropriate slot and seated the plastic dowel on left side. Bent unit so bottom tabs fit into appropriate slots. Affixed screw in left side tab affixing unit to microwave on left side and affixed right screw .THE VENT BROKE FROM THE SAME TOP LEFT SLOT 4 DAYS AFTER FIXING. THE CURRENT VENT IS AFFIXED WITH 2 PIECES OF GORILLA TAPE TO THE MICROWAVE. SO FAR SO GOOD
