Inglis Dryer Door Switch
PartSelect Number PS11741701
Manufacturer Part Number WP3406107
This dryer door switch is a simple on/off switch mechanism that prohibits the dryer from operating when the door is open, and operates the drum light. White in color and 6.5 inches long, this OEM switch is comprised of plastic and metal, and features the switch and three wires that comprise the part. Sold individually, this part attaches to the inside of the top end of the front panel. One end attaches to the wiring harness, the other goes through the panel to make contact with the door when the door is closed. Over time, this part can be subject to material fatigue or breakage due to frequent use or rough handling. If it breaks or is defective, you won't be able to start or stop your drying cycle, depending on the position your switch broke in. The easiest way to test this part for functionality is to test it by hand. Push on the black tab that sticks out of the front panel to make contact with your dryer door; if there is no resistance in the tab and it doesn't make a click sound, you may need to replace it.

Dryer would stay on after opening the Door. The switch that turns off the dryer when you open the door was not broken.
You open up the lint filter access door and remove the two small screws that hold it to the top of the dryer. Once they are removed, you insert a flat blade screwdriver under front-top of the unit and the top will pop off. Exerting a little pressure towards you will help lift to top off the mounts. There are no other screws to remove. The new switch comes attached to a clip. You just pull off the old clip and replace it with the new one and discard the old switch. Read more...

Inglis Dryer Door Switch
PartSelect Number PS11750824
Manufacturer Part Number WPW10237959
This is a door switch that is compatible with models of dryers. The door switch in a dryer is designed to communicate with the control board when the door is open or closed. If this door switch is damaged or not working properly, it will cause your dryer to incorrectly detect whether the door is closed and will normally result in your dryer not being able to start or stopping a cycle randomly. This door switch is made entirely of plastic with the door switch tab on one end, and its wire harness on the other. Replacing this door switch is easy but does require some slight disassembly of your dryer, which you will need a screwdriver and wrench for. This door switch is an OEM part and does not come with its necessary securing screws.

Inglis Dryer Door Switch
PartSelect Number PS11741699
Manufacturer Part Number WP3406102
This dryer door switch assembly is a genuine OEM component designed to detect whether the dryer door is securely closed before allowing the appliance to operate. As a built-in safety feature, it prevents the dryer from running when the door is open, helping to avoid accidents and ensure proper cycle function. The switch also monitors door status throughout the cycle, stopping operation if the door is opened mid-cycle. Common symptoms of a faulty switch include the dryer failing to start, stopping unexpectedly, or continuing to run with the door open. Installation is straightforward and suitable for novice-level repairs, though power should always be disconnected before beginning.

Dryer would not stop when you opened the door but it would stop if it went through the cycle.
First thing was to unplug the dryer. Then pull out the lint collector and removed the two screws. Then used a small putty knife and insert it in between the top portion of the dryer and the lower portion about an inch and a half in from each end and depressed the tab inside. Next lift up the top section. Open the dryer door remove the two screws that hold the switch in place. disconnect the switch from the harness reconnect the new switch to the harness and put the switch back threw the hole then put the two screws back in to hold the switch in place. Lower the top portion of the dryer and put the screws back in put the lint collector back and it should be good to go...
