Craftsman Engine Valve Stem
PartSelect Number PS9069397
Manufacturer Part Number 7012234SM
This OEM valve stem regulates air flow in and out of tires, allowing for inflation and deflation. It features an 11.5mm outer diameter, 31.75mm total length, and 22.35mm effective length. It is a metal valve with a threaded plastic cap, housed in plastic. To determine if a valve stem is broken, you can check for signs of damage or leakage. Signs of a broken valve stem include cracks, bends, or air leakage, which should be replaced to prevent tire deflation and operational issues. To remove the valve stem, fully deflate the tire first. Then, disconnect the tire from the rim to access the inner part of the rim. You may need to unthread any securing nuts if present. Use a pair of pliers to grip at the base of the valve stem and then unscrew it from the rim hole.
